Questions about Golden Sun...

Ok so I hardly know anything about the Golden Sun series, and today I was wondering a few things about them...

How many GS games are there so far?

Which one do you think is better? (which is the one that's more talked about, got better reviews etc)

And finally, is there much of a difference between them?

I could find out myself, but i'm mainly after some expert opinions :D Thanks in advance!

3) Not really but it continues the story from the first to the second. Like LOTR
 
There are 2.

I personally like the first one better, but I think it may be because it was an impulse buy and I was totally surprised by how good it turned out to be, while the second one I expected to be good, so the fact that it was good didn't come as a surprise.

The second one has more of everything. More Djinn, more characters, and a bigger world to explore. I'd say more but I don't want to spoil anything. ;)
 
Get them both! You will not be disappointed. I still have to get the 2nd one :(

It was an impulse buy for me too. i went to the store expecting to get Tactics Ogre Advance or something like that. They were out, I saw GS, said what the heck. I couldn't put it down. The second one I didn't like very much......never even bothered to beat it. It was very non-linear, couldn't figure out what to do. And I don't like using strategy guides with RPG's.
 
Golden Sun was a great game. Sadly I never played the Second one. The first one was great though.
 
It has been a few years since I played the original Golden Sun and I decided I might borrow my friends GS2 and try it out. I beat the first GS but never got around to playing the sequel. The thing that bugs me is Gamespot rated GS an 8.6 but I felt it was a much better game then that. The users rated it a 9.1 which is what I think the game deserves.

yeah... GS1 is AWESOME... I never did get around to playing the second one :(

I still want to though.

I think I liked this game so much when I played it because of the Djinn. It was after I played the game Pokemon, so this game was like the "cooler" pokemon game. At least thats what me and my friends thought...
 
I started a new game today. I havent played this game in a long time. I really wish they would come out with a version for the DS. It would be great.
