I want a wireless controller that works well, and does not break easily. Anyone know what brand I should get? Thanks a lot!

Get the Logitech one. It runs about $40 but it's well worth it.

The town we live by has 2 bars and two churches...and that is it.
The town we go grocery shopping in is like a little tourist town.....in order to get a controller I have to drive like 40 min. or so to get to a real town...

But as to affording things...the nearby tourist tiny town, has lots of rich people who own homes on lakes and my husband mows there lawns, etc. He has a lawn service.

I live in between two small towns. But I am 14 miles from Wake Forest, 20 miles from Raleigh, 25 miles from Durham, and 20 miles from Henderson. So I have the best of both worlds. Small farming town to live in, and bigger cities to visit. If I have to.
The logitech was on sale for $30. yay.
