Remember kiddies, finals before gaming

As I posted to cheesehead in the online games forum, everyone should check out this article.

It's some of the best advice that I can pass on being both a student and a gamer...

Play Quake (or Halo, or Diablo II or whatever) and graduate anyway...

hey thanks man.. its really cool having other people going throught the same thing as me and vica versa.. and when they help it is even better :D :)

So true...*hugs my college degree*

Megadrive, where did you go and when did you graduate?

Although I'm going to expand on my degree later on, I found out today that I have the requirements met and WILL have my Associate's of Arts degree in psychology from Indiana University Bloomington this month. :D

*gonna hug my degree too*

I need to do some of that, but for some reason I'm still putting games first instead of college :-\

Put a post-it note on your computer or game console with stuff that you absolutely must do each day. Then, finish those few things before letting yourself get engulfed in the gaming.

Believe me, it works. There are some times (midterms) where there's a bunch due in a week. Most of the time, I would only have one or two readings or assignments for any given class day. It's pretty easy to take care of those before gettin' into the games.

Well it's not that I'm not getting stuff done, I'm just procastinating. I'll end up doing it at the very last minute, I just need to quit doing that and get more studying done. I dunno if it's that I work better under pressure or not, I just can't concentrate as much if I know it's not do the next day.

It's just not games either, I'll get distracted by anything that comes up.. but a lot of it is them.

that doesn' twork for me.

I have to physically remove the battery (laptop) or powercable (desktop) and give them for someone to hide/

BAD THING ABOUT COLLEGE... you have to have a computer for many Homework assignments.  So I haven't been able to do that as of late.  I find myself creeping into a game here and there  :-\

Why do you think Game Addiction is such a fitting title for the bus?

Same thing about doing my business. A lot of times I find myself emailing customers, adding product...etc instead of doing work. WHICH is why I had to take about a little leave from the bus while doing finals.

I just hope hte customers understand :-\ :'(

Bv :hat

I do so much coursework on PC/internet that it's pretty much a necessity.

I have gotten to the point where I have to turn off AIM if I'm in the middle of a statistics project etc. People do get quite distracting when trying to study on a PC, but social obligations must be put aside when other responsibilities need to be taken care of.

Haha same here. It so hard to do homework because I need my computer, and there are so many distractions

decent grades and look for internship, and i'll remain sweet.
