My problem with 2 was the poor direction of the game. You're just bouncing around so much it's annoying. Plus you end up playing the same songs over and over again.

Not really. All the others are pretty linear and you don't end up playing the same songs over and over just to get to the next level unless you just can't beat the songs. In RB2 sometimes it made me play the same song twice in a row. Also, the whole fan base thing is kind of stupid.

yeah that was pretty stupid. the fan base thing...and yeah they had you play songs multiple times.

Blame the "Piano" man...Another instrument accessory has been revealed thanks to the new Green Day Rock Band.
 
They can't be original with anything can they? ANOTHER instrument that has already been done by Konami....

Can't wait till they make Rock Band 4 with Pop'n Music's controller as well.

What else were they going to do, add a trumpet???? Violin? Banjo???? Keyboard was the sensible instrument to add...

EDIT: Though I would love a fiddle to play Devil Went Down To Georgia on. :lol
 
If they could pull off Wind/Brass instruments I would love for them to be there, it would add some originality to the mix. Violin would also be kinda cool.

I'd enjoy them too, but my point is, I don't think they'll be able to do those instruments. Not for a while anyway. Besides, they're just trying to keep up with the competition.

can i ask what game did konami develop that used a Piano? I would actually enjoy playing Piano rhythm games but i just don't want to get RB3

Keyboardmania. More of an arcade release but there are versions of the game on PS2 and PC.
