Router issues

My router(Linksys, WRT54G) randomly disconnects my internet...even though it's wired. The thing is, when I try to reconnect, I enter the password, and it fails to connect anyways. I'm not exactly tech savvy, so I'm lost at this point.
 
Gah I can't remember how I set mine up... Did you try looking through the settings? Go to 192.168.0.1 in your address bar.
 
It's not letting me go there. I've been to it before, and I know it's my router's number.
 
Not letting you go there as in? Is it not loading the page, or is it just flat out saying "No, you fail at everything, you cannot go here."?
 
I dunno, I remember having some kind of problem like that and I had to talk to my ISP techies over the phone... I'm sure one of the techies here will know how to help you.

It's not his ISP. He is trying to access a local IP in the router. If you're doing this over the wireless I'd try accessing it over a Cat5 cable. If you still can't get in try resetting it and try again. If still no dice then I'd say your router might have decided to take a dirt nap.

Ah.

What I meant is that his router is using a local IP address, meaning that he does not have to get onto the internet to access it. If he is trying to access the router on a computer that connects to router wirelessly I suggested that he use a network cable and connect the computer directly to the router and if that didn't work to try and reset it. If it still won't work after a reset then I'd say that he needs a new router.
 
I did some stuff and messed around, and I got it working again. If it does it again, I'll need a new router and window.
 
Yeah, now, I have to disable my Moderate NAT for Live, and it won't let me into my router settings.

It's always when somebody's with you. Like, normally I can join suica's and hines's games, but when they're with you, I can't. My router must not like yours.

Yeah, I have Moderate NAT, so it cuts off a lot of people.

No, you could join mine. But you made us lag like crazy. I have a feeling you have a bad connection. It wasn't too bad, but I wasn't having those voice problems (or problems finding people in matchmaking) until you joined in with us.
