*Rumor* GameStop to stop carrying GBA/GBC/GB games by April.

*thinks about Strubes answers and agrees*
*accepts and THEN disowns him*
*1 hour later*
*then re-thinks, accepts Strubes as one of his own brothers after a good Meal* :D

You have a point, the garbage is no place for any game of value or nostalgia. So at least they are being sold to good homes.

I should try going there on April 1st and seeing if I could take whole garbage bags of games off their hands. I'd respect them. ;;

I'm kinda happy they're getting rid of the old games and systems. This will probably mean sales.
Yes, but it will also mean that these games will soon be near impossible to find because every game they don't sell will end up in the dump. In the short term, it'll mean clearance prices. In the long term, it will mean high prices because there are fewer copies in circulation.

It's still March though. They're probably getting rid of everything April 1, or maybe at the end of April.
I asked them if they knew anything about it and they said no...

They lied to my baby sister! *steam*! I will have REVENGE!!
Or maybe it was the stupidest April Fool's joke. Or maybe only the store manager knows about it and that wasn't him. >_>

I'm glad I just purchased a GBA SP at this time, these badboys are hard to find.

I found mine in a garbage dumpster. It's blue. just like my DS. The charger for my DS works on it too. But the problem is I never play it.

As for GBA games, I guess I should run out when prices are slashed and buy up a bunch of them before they end up in a landfill somewhere.

E.T. 2600 Death style....the worst death any cartridge game should go through...:(

Yet who would throw away a GBA system?

Yep. Unceramonious death. Just a big hole, a bulldozer and a pile of plastic and metal.

You'd be surprised. My brother-in-law found his PSP in a trash can at school. He dropped it off at the school's main office and nobody claimed it. It was his.

I guess I'm a bad person, but I wouldn't have even turned it in. :lol

There's always E-bay.

Which will, in the future not have as many GB/GBC games on it because of how many games Gamestop will simply throw away. The price will probably go up there too simply because there aren't as many copies left.

Dude, that reminds me...oh angry flashback....when I was in 7th grade, my gameboy was taken by a teacher..inside was the game "Mortal Kombat 2"....and I got my gameboy back..but the game was missing...I was so furious...

I guess I'm just not as worried about it as you are. All the games I like, given how long the GB/GBC have been out, I already have.
