Well guys and gals, here it is, the month to prepare for the next school year.

Hopefully us college people have registered and paid for (which I happened to do today, just haven't paid yet) and our young'uns are getting ready for Middle school/High school.

I'm changing my degree to Associates in Arts, which is just a general degree that covers Gen Ed classes that will transfer practically anywhere.

This semester I'm taking (Mondays and Wednesdays):

Fundamentals of Communication  9:00am - 10:25am
Break10:30am - 12:50pm
Beginning Japanese II1:00pm - 2:55pm
Break3:00pm - 4:20pm
Scientific Inquiry4:30pm - 7:25pm

11 credit hours, and I only have a couple more semesters left to graduate.

Communication is basically Speech class, and scientific inquiry is just a basic 9th grade High School type science class.

All adds up to a measly $1,200 and some change.  :lol

im starting high school soon too

but im going to this thing for a semester where i catch up cause i screwed up real bad

i have to catch up on two grades and do my grade 11 work too

I go back to school starting the second of September. It's my senior year in high school, basically go for a semester for the credits I need to graduate and then have another semester to do nothing. Oh, how I'm gunna enjoy that >.<.

I start August 25 and I just quit my job today! 2 weeks of summer this year for me. Kinda sucked but I get like a month off before I start working again. Senior year also for me! I won't have an easy year though, I need to make up for last year ::). Oh well, I had fun last year, too much fun...

I'll be starting on the 25th. My 2nd to last semester of college where I will finish all but one of my classes.

I get to take this semester Advanced Computer Networking, Microcomputer Design + Lab, Computer Design + Lab, and Artificial Intellegence

What? No Aleeock when I'm home??? *tears up*...... :'( I CAN'T HANDLE THIS!!

Seriously, School is back so soon....man...I still can't believe it's August....which means...no annoying kids in the store....*TEARS OF JOY*!!! :D

Aw, it's only on Mondays and Wednesdays, and I'll be on the computer during my breaks most likely. :)

Hm so many people still in High School.

Ultimately, I will begin my Third Year of college on Aug 21 (time flies and I cant believe that I am getting older). I take classes Monday through Friday from 9/10AM-2PM 18 credits (5 classes), and the classes are:

Applications of Statistics (computer programming for stat)
Intro to Computer Programming (Java)
General Physics I
Math Structures (?)
Organic Chemistry 2

MAJOR: Bioinformatics with concentration in either Computer Programming or Biology/Genomics :( at Virginia Commonwealth University

I hope everyone has a bountiful and productive year and does super well cause life is good unto us all.

Im really afraid of it, Ive never done any sort of programming. I have to take that, then like something called discrete objects/structures, and then AI, and then lots of "Programming for Science" and "High Throughput Data Anlysis type courses"

Java is the easiest programming language out there besides BASIC. Really everything is already there for you when you look at the program. It's really tedious though since it is case sensitive. Objects and Structures are really easy as well.

I didn't ever take Java classes, and my major before I changed it was CIS/Computer Programming XD

My Intro to Programming class was Python, which was a very simple language pretty similar to Basic. I've had about 2 years of Visual Basic and 3 or so years of C++.

Unfortunately, they wont let us take C++, I guess. Only JAVA is allowed for the major. I never understood what difference there was in all the types. But then again Ive never seen any of them before to even have a fair base to make and form an opinion of them.

Im more afraid cause the instructor I have seems to be the one who hasnt had many A's in his class for his entire 30 year teaching career :(

Yea, anything related to BASIC is what you should be starting off on. My intro to programming was C++, a really dumb instructor. We dipped a bit into Java, and I hated every program we did. If you really want to get good with programming pick a programming language and stick with it for a couple months, then if you want go to another one that is similar.

ughhh JAVA is giving me a headache. i am not really good in programming but i learn to love v.Basic..

my C++ class was good but i didn't do that good in the finals.

*sigh* another school year..

School for me means buses and the most ridiculous bus stops on the planet. Six stops in two miles on a state highway? Who thinks up this stuff??
