Shooters on the DS?

Do you think we'll see some sidescroll / vertical scroll airplane style shooters on the DS?

It would be interesting if they could somehow get the touch screen connectivity to work along with that.
I miss games like this.... or other games like 2d contra..etc... That would be GREAT to see on the DS as well.

Yes! there is a vertical scroll game already slated for it, I saw it on IGN..and the screen shots looked great. Let me look up the title... Nanostray. It looks really sweet. Check it out on IGN here: http://ds.ign.com/objects/697/697509.html

Majesco seems to have made a couple descent games.

I find that odd.... since when did they decide to make good games? :lol

I know...and since when does the DS have games that are worth looking forward to? ;) Maybe it's a winning combo. Though, I suspect the game will be on the difficult side.
 
it would be awsome to see new aged Space Invaders, Galaga, Centipede ect. maybe in a compilation but with improved graphics and two screens, I couldn't stop playing Centipede :D, but then agian I'm just old school :)
