Short Speech on Nintendo's "kiddy look"

That. Right there. I'd prefer good games over mature games. I'm not gonna play a PoS game just because it has an M rating. When I look at a game, I buy if I think it's good, not because I see an M. Most of you people want M rated games on the Wii, but why? There's nothing that says M rated games are automatically better, and Nintendo has some great games as is.

Ok, well Nintendo isn't really making either at this point in time.

don't get me started XD.

but yeah what fhq says is what i've been trying to say but i didn't have the words for

I'm not baiting...

...The Wii is a horrid disappointment to me, I don't know about you guys. I think a lot of Wii fans just try to tell themselves that it's awesome because Nintendo is "Sick" and "Retro."

I'm thinking of selling mine.

Hines, you've said that about every console. Back last year, you loved your Wii. Then, your 360(s) broke and you hated that and thought about getting a PS3. Now, you say the 360 is good, but unreliable and you're quite possibly back to not thinking the PS3 is best. Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong.

1. I had a reason to like it when they made some good games for it. The best of them being a port of a Gamecube game (RE4)
2. When a console breaks on Christmas day, and they send you a broken one, I can hate it all I want.
3. I like the PS3, and would love one. Unfortunately, I have no money.

Yeah, Galaxy, Brawl, Mario Kart, Zack and Wiki, No More Heroes, Trauma Center, all awful attempts at games.

When you complain about it for the next month, it gets annoying.
3. I like the PS3, and would love one. Unfortunately, I have no money.
K.

1. Most of those are awesome, but Brawl and Mario Kart both suck IMO...
2. You would too.
3. K. :)

And nobody contested that Mature = Better. A game can be Mature AND good...just in case you were wondering.

but aren't their games already good enough? regardless of their rating (and seriously what's the big difference between T and M? just blood, nudity and or cussing) besides nintendo is the same as before the only difference is their wii franchise wich actually only have 3 games >_> everything else is grea.

Nintendo-made games on the Wii are great. But they can only carry the console by themselves for so long. There's not enough good third party games. The majority of third party games on the Wii are shovelware. Name all the games you want on the Wii that are good, but I guarantee that the 360 can easily beat that number, and the PS3 might even have more quality games.

Quality is more important than quantity, but at this time I feel as though Nintendo is lacking in both.

Very well said Mai, and agreed fully. Also, about the quality of games per console. According to gamerankings.com, calculating games that averaged over an 80% per console...the PS3 has a commanding lead, with 360 in second, and the Wii painfully in last. We just want more good games Nintendo...and try something new. Mature doesn't mean bad.

Uh, no actually. The 360 has a commanding lead there. The PS3 has the highest percentage of games 80% and above (which is what the article you are referring to was talking about: percentage), but the 360 still has a huge lead in terms of shear quantity. The Wii is however, in last, mostly because games that are made for the Wii have to be made specifically for the Wii, due to the control scheme. This makes it difficult for cross-console games to reach the Wii, hence the lack of good titles.

no but it doesn't mean good either.

and the "wii fans tell themselves that wii games are good" is just a bunch of bologna, i don't think i lie to myself when i play most of my free time with the wii.

i disgaree with you mai for the fact that i posses a quantity of games with high quality and the funny fact is that every time i'm close to beat a game at 100% there's always a new one coming out, i guess people who truly love the games on it are the only ones that can apreciate what they have on it.

and gamerankings can bite me, i never went along on what reviewers said and the only mistake i ever made in my life was buying shadow the hedgehog (aparently mexican revieweres liked it XD) reviewers gave low scores to games like fire emblem radiant dawn, umbrella chronicles, nights and dragon quest, and i liked each and every game i just mentioned.

is just a matter of taste i guess, or idk why is it so hard for someone to actually like (or belive) that there can be found both quantity and quality on the wii console, it might not be as much as the 360 but heck i'm a student my money is limited, even if i had a 360 i don't think i would have that many games anyway in fact even with only the wii (and half a ps3) i still don't have all the great games i want on the wii console.

back to the mature themed things, i'm 16 years old i do not have weird desires of watching someone bleeding to death or running over hookers, or shooting at old women (exceptions are resident evil, no more heroes, and god of war and bioshock....because at least these have interesting stories)

Uh, yes actually...because that's what I was talking about. Quality, not quantity. Just because something has to be made specifically for the Wii is no excuse, because developers are still complaining how hard the PS3 is to develop for. The Wii has been slated as being the easiest to develop for by many developers. But I digress. We're talking about M-rated games. Not how many good games a console has.

That's cool and all. You don't have to buy M-rated games. It would appeal to more people though.

Okay, I think I see what happened here. I thought you were saying that the PS3 has more games over 80% on Gamerankings, which clearly isn't true, but you were talking about the fact that the PS3 has a greater number of games over 80% on Gamerankings, relative to how many are on the system?

Developers can simply port from the 360 to PS3 though because they are somewhat similar systems. This means that almost every game that hits the 360 will head to the PS3 and vice-versa, unless Microsoft or Sony pays for exclusivity. That really bolsters both system's libraries. The Wii, on the other hand, doesn't have that advantage. Plus, being easy to develop for (combined with popularity) has gotten them nothing but shovelware.

Yeah, but Sony has more good games because of the exclusive titles..you know? I'm not saying they need to port more games over. Nintendo needs to take it upon themselves to make more good games...Mature or not. I think we can all agree on this?

Oh okay. I get where you were coming from with that. I misunderstood your point. My apologies.

yeah but in a good way... in a "it has games i like but i wouldn't mind more" kind of positive way XD
