Yeah, Mass Effect isn't even quite as bad as Halo 3 I would think. If one is rated M, and you can get that, why not the other? (lol, I'm guessing the answer will be your parents...sorry, that really sucks for you. :-\)
 
Xbox 360 = Safe bet. Even if no more good games come along, you've already got dozens there, unlike the other consoles which have one or two good games each, none that live up to Gears, Bioshock, etc.

It's under the sexual themes part of the ratings.... :'(
 
The only next gen console I have is Wii, and I only play Wii sports. It's fun though, but until they get better games for it I'd probably sugest you get X Box 360
