So...I got an Xbox finally...

Personally, it depends. Is money an issue? If it is, you might be better off buying an Xbox and games for it, since the price of both will surely decrease quite a bit once the 360 hits. However, buying the Xbox means virtually no new games will come out for it once you have it (there are a few promising looking titles still coming, but not a whole lot). So really, take a look at the Xbox game library and ask yourself if you are happy enough with it.

If money is not an issue, I would say get a 360, since you have years and years of cutting edge games coming out for it.
 
Well..I was planning on getting the PS3 first and maybe think about getting the Xbox360 but Im not quite sure, I just want to experience the online play with Xbox since I've heard a few good comments about it.

I was in Wal-Mart yesterday thinking about getting it, I held the controller in my hand and it just told me not to get it now for some reason..like the console talked to me. lol

No it didn't...*My controller talks* SHUT UP YOU FOOL!! I rule you! love meeee!! :o

The online play is downright incredible...imho Mircosoft really pushed the limits of what PS2 could have done, sure Sony has everything to do the online... but this is Mircosoft of course, they do it with class and really rolled out the red carpet for you with how much you can do and it's MUCH nicer to talk to people then type on a keyboard. Sending private messages via "Voice Mail" comes in handy nicely.

:lol I dont want this to come off as the usual MS bashing but that statement right there is too funny. They did do a great job but that's very rare imo.

Funny yes, but to be serious. Mircosoft never mess around with anything online-related. They know what they want and who to target.
 
Ya, I really want to get a console again. I've been thinking about whether I should get a PS2 or an Xbox, and I can't decide, :lol. PS2 would offer free online play, and access to hundreds of games I've never even heard of (and I always like going into games knowing nothing about them). Plus, the controllers are, imo, the best out of any console, and it doubles as a DVD player.

On the other hand, an Xbox would offer far superior graphics, superior online play, and some killer exclusives that I really want to play. I don't know much about the PS2 library (other than the fact that I'm bound to find something I like amidst all the games) but I actually followed the Xbox line up a bit because I was really interested in most of the games.

Its like, do I spend more and get the whole package, or do I settle and get something that will give me the most bang for my buck? I dunno...
 
Dangit. I may have to break down and buy an Xbox somehow. But my brother-in-law says he's thinking of getting rid of his. And I could swing a deal to get it for nothing. But I'll have to wait.
He says he's bored with videogames. I think he's nuts. But I don't say antything because his boredom will net me an Xbox!!

So in other words I should just go ahead and get a Xbox? Grr..this is very tempting, I want to play some Capcom vs SNK, etc games online so bad! Right now I feel like getting up from my PC, going to the bank, withdrawing some cash, go to EB or Wal-Mart, purchase a Xbox, go home, be happy. lol :D
 
Ive been thinking of getting one too. I might wait for the 360 to come out so I can get one for even cheaper.

The only reason I want one is because of the games for it that arnt on the ps2

See..when I think about getting the Xbox the 360 pops up in my head, Im like "What's the point in getting an Xbox when 360 is going to be released soon?" I got to come to a decision on what I need to do. I think I should just wait it out for the 360 and then wait it out for the PS3. I know in the end I will have both consoles in my room.

see Im a Playstation fan i will get the ps3 but if I do get the 360 it will be in a few years when the price goes down alot.

so for me getting an xbox would be worth it because the games for it may be older but theyd still be new to me :D

Yeah man I have the game for PS2 and its already addictive offline as it is! Only if they had it online enabled for PS2. They also need to just go ahead and add MvC2 (Marvel vs Capcom 2) online as well. Those two game would be filled with players!

Btw, any good FPS games on Xbox other than Halo? Im tired of Halo, sucked on PC for me..didn't like it at all. :'(

Battlefront II hasn't been released yet... Here. Is it released in the USA? It can be played as an 3rdPS as well.
 
Doom 3 looks interesting..Im going to head over to Gamespot and watch some videos of some of the games mentioned.
