If they wanted to make a good RPG, the last franchise they'd try for is Sonic. They're trying to make a good Sonic game.

Sonic and the Secret Rings was good. Not great, but good, IMO. No game will beat Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 for me either. 8)

I hope you didn't say Secret Rings was an RPG.

Re-read my post. I would think someone like you would get that the first time through. If not, let's take a look.

Did I say it was an RPG? *checks post*...nope!

Was I responding to you saying "They're trying to make a good Sonic game."? *checks post*...ding ding ding!

Agreed fully and compeltely.  I think making an RPG in a new IP would have expontially increased the game's potential, instead of shackling the game to the corpse that is the Sonic franchise.

still does that really means that the games will suck completely?? i mean the gameplay seems to be a fusion of paper mario with some other bioware RPGs

I'm kind of confused. Why is everyone so mad that they'd make a Sonic RPG? If it isn't good, or doesn't look good. Don't buy it. :lol

Because I love Bioware, as a dev, and I find this game to be nothing but a huge waste of resources. They could be using the thirty some-odd people that are making this game to make sure Dragon Age comes out some time in the next century. But instead they decide to make a game, based around a dying IP, that in no way shape or form fits the kind of game Bioware has proven themselves good at making. I think I have a right to be mad, don't you think?

I'm not mad but depressed that a great company like BioWare wasted their time on a Sonic RPG when they could work on KoTOR 3.

No, because you want them to rush on other games and work hard on them to get them out sooner, correct? And sometimes we wonder why games suck when they're rushed. ::)

The game is suffering from a serious lack of resources. It was announced in 2004, and we've gotten about 20 screenshots since then, no vids, just those screens.

I don't want them to rush it. Not in the slightest. It's just that I want them to actually get serious about developing it, instead of barely making any progress with the game, like they have been recently. This could have happened, had they not decided to syphon off all their resources, towards the Sonic RPG. It is a game that fits them in no possible way shape or form, and is taking away from projects with so much more potential, that seem like they will inevitably stuck on the backburner.

Now I ask again, is it okay for me to angry that they are totally and completely ignoring the game I am anticipating most, in favor of a project that has so much less potential?

I guess disappointed..but not angry. I'm sure you'll live.

Also, I'm kinda liking how everyone's setting it up for failure. :)

There are a lot of big hurddles that have to be jumped for this one to be a success, so I think it's fair to be a little spectacle about how good of a game this will turn out to be.

Alot of games like this are undermined. The more people thinking it's gonna suck is the better for me. I have faith in Bioware.

I read:

Sonic and the Secret Rings was good.
Not to mention, I was talking Bioware RPG's, not SEGA Team classic Sonic.

Bioware rushes games? Uh huh...

I guess you didn't. And you only took part of what I responded to. Congrats on misconstruing it.

They're trying to make a good Sonic game.

That's what I was responding to. You should know this, since it was what I quoted as well in my response.

Yes, that was established the first time you said it, no need to do it again.
