Sony gets sued

whats the problem with having a gun fight in a chruch? who would tell someone that you fight in a chruch? video games are degrading down everyday because of some sensitive idiot who thinks because a video game has a chruch and war in it. The world has gone over crazy with suing that person and this person that no one has the right to do anything without getting sued anymore.

Apparently the church is suing because Sony never attained the proper rights to put the church in the game. So...isn't the church a public landmark? This just keeps making less and less sense. I hope to god the English courts are smart enough to dismiss this.

The English courts probably aren't smart enough to dismiss this if it was I doubt a church would be wasting money bring this lawsuit.

But a church is a public domain. And a church is a non-profit organization. If this lawsuit happened in the U.S, the 12 idiots who jury the case would give the church ten times the amount they are seeking for damages, and an appeals judge would throw it out.

Which is why I don't understand what grounds they are suing on. Its like saying the Statue of Liberty can't be in a game set in New York.

Maybe they do have some standing under the English law I know they don't have any under American law. Also funny thing about the civil suits these days emotions seems to play a larger role in peoples decisions than the actual law it's sad really.
