Sony unveils the 4GB Memory Stick Duo...

I agree with creepin. $250 is way too much just for memory capacity. I'll stick with my 32 MB memory card as well as my Xbox hard drive.
 
$250? I know that is competitive to industry... but crap... that's too much...

4 gig is not worth that much... I don't care what #'s you put on it... ot what technology it is.

I think having a handheld with a memory card was a bad decision in the first place on Sony's part, but the fact that one of them is the same price as the system itself only reinforces that. How on earth can they get away with that? I mean...I actually bought my PSP used for $200, so the 4 gig card would actually cost me more than the system itself did....that just doesn't seem right.
 
I got a 256MB card for like $25 or something off Ebay and that serves me plenty (I wanted some extra storage for the Burnout bonus tracks)
 
Do you really need that much memory? I mean I'm using my PSP for the games only. I guess if you want all the addons you need more memory. Seems to me like a waste of money. I'm more than satisfied with the 512MB card I picked up just after Christmas.
 
i agree. who should pay the same price for an accessorie as the origional device? I like the psp but i would never buy that.
 
Actually I just realized I mis-spoke. I have a 256MB card not a 512, but as I said before, that is more than enough....for me. :D
 
I just bought a 1 gig the other day... but the 4 gig is WAY too much...

WHY would anyone pay $250 for a 4 gig stick? I mean... you can buy other MUCH CHEAPER cards for other devices... not to mention PC and system ram these days are DIRT cheap...
I paid around $60 for 1 gig... which is high, but I couldn't find it much cheaper at the time I was looking.

that's about $20 more than I thought it should be ... but I couldn't really find them cheaper.. even only after shipping.. it was close.

That's the type of thing that makes me want to use my money somewhere. I've been saving my money for a PSP for the past three months. Now I don't know.....what's the best memory stick to buy that's still cheap? I would be playing a bunch of games and ripping movies to the memory, so yeah....
