Is this game any good? I love the idea of a great stealth-game, but so far all those (except the first Metal Gear Solid) have sucked. The biggest issue in the old Splinter Cell is that you can't save and you can't kill people. How is this in SC3?

I only played the first one, and what do you mean you cant kill any one? I thought you could since your carrying all there hi-tech weapons around. :lol

i think if u kill someone you fail the mission.. in some missions your nor orthorized to kill anyone or something.. but you can put them to sleep or something.. now that really makes you feel like a bad butt cia agent :?

You do have a gun in the first game, but you shouldn't use it more than you need. They relaxed that in SC3 and even gave you a knife, but other than that I would assume it's just more of the same. No major differences. It's a shame, really. Such potential gone to waste.

But on x-box? They have this, Mercenaries, Halo 2 and... uh, a fourth game? :? :lol

Actually the Xbox has the best rated version, the Cube's is next, followed by the ps2. the PS2 suffers from frame rate I believe.

I have not tried the PS2 version though.

the PC version is by far the best. The Xbox visuals and levels are slightly better than the cubes...... but I have a feeling thats due to disc size. If the Cube had a larger disc, they could fit more info onto it.... allowing for more info to be stored.

IF you have a PC, get it there... otherwise, The Xbox would be the next best. If you have a Gamecube, get it for that... the Ps2 should be your last option :D

BV :hat

Anyway, I heard it was really, really hard. Is this true? Then count me out. And how is the save function this time? Do you even have one, or is it like the first one where you can only save when entering a checkpoint, and only once?

Predator: Concrete Jungle is quite hard as well, with a very early mission lasting 30 minutes, you fight though enemies and can't even save at all. Yet it is worth it because you really feel like you are the Predator. Sam Fisher on the other hand are just any other spy. I couldn't care less about him.

man i really dont like games where you cant save for a long time. but beating up pimps and there money makers might make it worth while..? maybe :-\

I love Predator. The story are really bad, and starts with the Predator failing its mission. As we all know, the Predator then pushes a few buttons on the keypad-thingy on his wrist and blows up the city. (literally. 100 years later the city is still mostly in ruins.) But how come the Predator actually survived it? :?
Second, all the Predator movies have the Predator hunt normal humans. In this game the humans have learned from the Predator and use its weapon against it.

Still, this is a great game worth at least renting. It makes you feel you like are the Predator, and the control system are really, really good. I have heard a lot of people complain about the controls, but I honestly don't know what they are talking about. The visuals are superb, and the sounds are pretty much as good as they come. Most of the Predator "skills" are included as well, like killing people in many creative ways you didn't think possible. Even yesterday I managed to fold a woman over a railing. Yes, you read correctly. Her legs went up one side, the rest of her body down the other side. :o And as a fun detail, I picked up a guy, he said something like "Oh, sweet Jesus, no..." just before I squashed his head. The voice was quite... desperate, I might say so. Quite believeable. I really did not feel like it was just read from a script.

Guess you need a strong heart and stomach to enjoy this, but if you do, you'll really enjoy it. Of course if helps if you already know a lot about Predators, but even if you don't this game rocks.
