All I have is ESPN NFL 2005 and NFL Fever 2004.......i dont like madden games at all for some reason......the gameplay just isnt very appealing to me

I have TopSpin. That's all. I could buy a freaking Nintendo 64 football game and get the same basic gameplay as the rehashed crap they put out yearly.
 
Actually the differece between the 64 football games and Madden on the PS2 is a huge one. Admittedly within this generation of consoles the games themsevles didn't change that much, but Madden is so much better this gen than the last one its practically incomparable.
 
Graphics wise maybe, but since football has not changed rule wise in any major way since the N64 generation, gameplay = same ole crap

No, picking plays was more important. The improved AI means you have to switch up all sorts of strategies. Running the actual plays was a different and much better experience. There were lots of added controls, many more game modes, etc.

The gap between 64/PS1 football games and GC/PS2 football games is a very large one.
