Just checked out the new trailer for the Star Trek movie coming out next year. I'm a huge J.J. Abrams fan, and a big Star Trek fan as well, so when I found out J.J. was manning the helm of this bold adventure I had high hopes for it. Now, seeing the new trailer, I am confident in saying this is going to be one sweet show. Check it out for yourself.

I saw the trailer on TV the other night. I was like OMFG Need to go to Midnight showing!!! I can't wait for it to come out. Simon Pegg as Scotty is gunna be the best.
 
Creepiest thing about this...the movie comes out on my Dad's Birthday and he is such a hardcore fan since he was a kid...I know exactly what to get him for his birthday now lol

I've never been a big Star Trek fan, but I'm defiantly going to try and check this one out! Should make a for a good day out on the weekend.
 
Love the Star Trek. The old TV shows are my most favorites. I like the movies too. Next Generation was okay. Deep Space Nine sucked.

Never said I hated it. The originals are the best in my opinion. Pioneer-like. They created everything, and were the foundation of the show. Next Generation merely continued it.
 
I've gotta say, the trailer did look pretty cool. It won't measure up to TNG, but it looks pretty cool, although it's missing the awful effects that made the earlier ones so deliciously Trek. XD

But the Next Generation did more than continued it. It expanded it, and made it about something more than cheesy effects and Kirk banging every alien he came in contact with. I can't understand how anyone could say that William Shatner's overly-dramatic pauses are better than I, Borg or Measure of a Man.
 
I agree.

Shatner = Cheezy, but awesome. A lot of times, awesome because it was cheezy.

TNG = Less cheezy, and more awesome. Awesome because of its characters and concept, and only occasionally awesome because it was cheezy.
