Star Wars Battlefront

Has anyone had a chance to play this for XBOX yet? Or on Live? Or heard anything from someone else about how it is? I've played a demo and it seemed pretty cool. I was thinking about getting it to play over XBOX Live.

I borrowed it from a friend

Single palyer campaign-Ok, but the bots aren't very smart, there is no story, and feels like multiplayer
Campaign Co-op: Great for burning time, but otherwise its jsut like campaign
System linking: Haven't tried
Xbox Live: Its ok, but often laggy, there aren't many servers, and it doesn't feel like your playing with other humans.

Overall, 6.5/10

Ugh...no story. Sheesh...c'mon this is Star Wars! They shoulda been able to pick a story out of their nose for this one. Oh well...I'll put it on my rental list.

I own it and with the recent upadate i believe it is 32 people at once in a game, plus the 250 bots running around.
I give it a 7 out of 10 becuase I'll have to say that it really makes me feel like I am in those massive battles. Even though overall everything is unpolished and rather dull. campaign in aweful if your looking for story but if you have live and are looking for a game that will last you about 5 days it's good. I recommend renting, then buying if you are one of the few who would like to own it. (like myself)

My friend brought it over and I played, but I didn't like it. I felt it was a horribly underfunded rip-off of Battlefield. I felt the controls were clunky and the graphics weren't all that polished.

Didn't have the sound up, so I can't comment on that... not as though I was awake at 5 in the morning when I popped it in either...

i really liked the playing mechanics and the fun i had playing with my Friend but it got old after a week.

and xbox live diddent impress me

Don't judge Xbox Live until you play Halo 2, or Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, Crimson Skies, Forza Motorsport (supposed to have some bad@$$ Live stuff, or something). Games like Battlefront are made with PS2 online in mind, and are more representative of PS2 online the genuine Xbox Live.

Sorry, I must have misunderstood you. I actually heard there were some serious lag issues with this game. I don't know if it was on PS2, PC, XBox, or all three, but I was wondering if any of you guys, other than Spartan, had to deal with any lag when you played it.

The funny thing is when you lose an outpost the 2 guys from SW BF and Battlefield 2 say the same thing "We have lost an outpost" in the same voice LOL

Single palyer 3/5
Campaign Co-op: 3/5
System linking: 3/5 (can't communicate with mic)
Xbox Live: 4/5, good not great...but under the right conditions some games can be really good

overall: 3/5
