Starcraft page on the Game Addicts site

yeah yea... another starcraft topic :lol
well.. read it anyway :D

I am going to create a starcraft page on the game addicts site. The URL will be:
www.egameaddicts.com/starcraft

Right now, I am still developing it ... but other game pages will follow as well..
IE we can have them to let people know when we are meeting...etc...

on this starcraft site, I will make it so the users of the Game ADdict's can have their maps uploaded to the site..etc.

This is part of the reason for the contest delay. I just took too many projects on at once.

I'll keep you informed... but what do you think about seperate games pages?

ALSO, I could make it so that some others (meaning our mods) could make Xbox live pages...etc... so that people's name tags and other things can be posted up.

I am trying to expand the content :) thats all.

I would very much like to see a Samurai Shodown memorial page that would include reviews and pictures all of Samurai Shodown games in the genre. Also, we could include not just the AES titles but also all Neogeo CD releases. I would like to make some incredible artwork for the homepage and then several links to each of the games on the front.

We could get:

Artists
Reviewers
Coders

Or anyone else interested to do the project.

It is just an idea, granted a lofty one, but an idea none-the-less.

like I said... I have undertaken too many projects... part of why I am absent from ngcd.net lately... I have updates planned for that site as well... AND I am trying to get the final details on the Game Addiction contest.

The starcraft page will be rather cool... but most likely a static page.

How some of these game pages will be linked..... will be by rotating banners. IE I may have 5-10 different pages with a banner that rotates so people can see more information if they want to click about that game..etc.

I am planning for the Game Addict's site to be huge... not sure how huge yet :)

IMO... the cool thing will be that people can submit their starcraft levels... and have them hosted up. They will be hosted by account name from the boards here.

I will designate a level tester.... etc....

maybe we can even have level ratings :) IE have people rate them.

I just get a Forbidden. I know, it's still under construction lol

It would be cool to have people submit things, and be checked by mods or admin, then have the mods and admin post them. Like gamefaqs.
 
I am working on an interface that will allow mods and admins to do this :)

but like I said... that will not be perfected for awhile.

Is Starcraft really worth the $20 dollars? Let me know about the battlechest dave. Will it work with Windblows XP?
 
the battle chest is EASILY worth $20.......i think i got mine for 40 bucks, and even that was worth it

single player isnt that great IMO.......but all of the neat maps and stuff online are fun :)

as for windows XP: bv uses it (pretty sure) and it seems to work (except when he tries to play with me)........still havent figrued that out

unless they are on sale.. they are normally MSRP $20

well..... I was looking on Blizzard's site..... and you have to "put copyrights...etc" on the mainpage for a "starcraft" page.
no big deal... there will just be a copyright at the bottom of the page...
