Street Fighter X Tekken, SFIII: Third Strike online, New costumes for SSFIV

Don't understand the Capcom bashing, 35 Characters is a good amount for a fighting game, instead of stopping there the developers are making more characters that you can buy if you want. Why shouldn't they be paid for their work?

Hell look at most sequels they usually have just the following:

Improved gameplay
New Story
New modes

SSFIV has all three.

Rather have DLC instead of buying SSFIV Turbo: Championship Edition

Also wasn't it mentioned that SFIV couldn't do DLC?

This is the way fighters have always worked, just now, unlike recent console generations, we have DLC. And I don't see how this is considered lowly. If you don't like it now I would bother with MvC3 or any future fighter cause it'll all be the same.

I understand and respect your opinion, but this is a reason I've never really been into fighters. They're never a complete game.

I don't want to spend money already on top of the $60 originally spent on SFIV, then another $40 on SSFIV...now what? $5 per character extra? No, it has to stop somewhere.

And you don't see me defending them, do you? At first I was sold on BlazBlue CS, but after realizing they're taking the lowly Capcom approach, I'm reconsidering.

except along with the gameplay overhaul CS also gets to continue its epic storyline.

but to be completely honest, i do not mind updating with fighters because it always feels like a fresh new experience to me because a simple nerf/buff changes a character so much that it feels like i am playing an actual sequel... to me SSF4 and CS feel more like sequels than just "patches"

fighting game "sequels" or expansions are designed for people who want to keep enjoying their game in a more competitive manner and to be able to play a more balanced or upgraded experience, it is basically like expansions on MMO's it doesn't mean the game is incomplete it is just adding to it

So it continues the storyline as well? To me, Blazblue's story is way better than the Street Fighter story. And with fighters, I rarely ever care about stories, but Blazblue's is a breath of fresh air to me.

I wish I could agree. And I know it's the world against me on this, but I just want a full game right out the box. Developers should be testing these games before release to see who needs to be nerfed or buffed. I don't want to have to buy another game in order for a nerf or buff to take effect. But that's just me.

Well Strubes maybe the genre isn't for you. Fighting games do it like all the time like just compare Soul Calibur 1 to Soul Calibur 2, honestly I don't see much difference. Like I said before SSFIV pretty much did what every fighting game does. Makes another game, adds characters, tweaks gameplay, and makes a new story. While not a brand new story it is different. Tekken pretty much does the same thing. Even Virtua Fighter 4 got two new characters in the greatest hits release

Hell with new characters they have to give them their moves, get new voice actors, and pretty much just make the character 3D (kinda tired so I feel I could've phrased that better)
You know what they say, time is money. They're working to give us more so hey, they should get paid.

They've improved though, I remember the SFII games all pretty much had the same ending for the characters, you pretty much had to buy a brand new games for only a few characters. Atleast SSFIV is a new game unlike all the SFII revisions

Yeah, just seems like spending more money on more of the same to me.
