Strubes' and x2's Health and Fitness thread!

Make sure if you're taking Protein, it's Whey Protein, as that's the best for you. Also, with Creatine, make sure you're either not JUST taking pure Creatine, or taking Creatine Esther, as Creatine is mostly a water holder, and once you're off of it you get a saggy physique. Creatine Esther, however, is the part of Creatine that actually helps with muscle growth, and not to hold water. Also, the best thing to take for muscle growth, that is pure and healthy is Nitric Oxide. Nitric Oxide is the basic building block of muscle growth. I recommend starting with NOXplode or Nano X9.

My favorite mixtures of protein shakes depend on the flavor protein. For chocolate protein powder, I mix it with red juices (pure juices) like raspberry and cranberry...even apple will work. Mix a banana or several strawberries in it also to boost flavor.

For vanilla, you can really use just about any kind of juice. You can also use milk like x2 said, but adding combinations of juices that have different vitamins in it works just as well, and tastes great!

Also, it is VERY beneficial to anyone working out to take a multivitamin daily and to drink LOTS of water with it. I recommend Ultimate Man Sport....the only mineral that's not in it is Iron, which you can find in a small bottle for less than $3. Both of those together should be less than $20.

Hmm I never tried the protein in juice. I will have to try that out! And yea, water is crucial. Aim for around a gallon a day if working out hard. About the creatine...I always use straight creatine mono and have never had any issues when coming off it. I think either one will be fine and people should try them both out if possible. Some people bloat with mono {which is what I think you were referring too Strubes} and some don't {I never bloat}. Either way, creatine is gooood stuff :D

Yeah, it can work for some, but I've been told by many to stay away from straight creatine. As they put it, it's essentially filling your kidneys with sand in the long run.

From what I just found:

Creatine has a plateau effect, which means that after a certain dose it is excreted in the kidneys and wasted.

That's something I don't want happening to me. If it's working for you, great, and I'm not trying to argue with you so I hope you don't think that. I'm just trying to help out in case you might not have known that.

There's a certain protein, if I can find it, that has I believe 42 grams per serving of protein, and has creatine in it as well, but it's a low dose so you're still getting creatine, just not too much. If you have a healthy diet with meat and fish in it, however, you're already getting all the creatine your body needs for the day, so any more with those dishes should be limited.

Oh I wouldn't worry about it bro. Creatine mono is the most researched and proven supplement of our time! Yes, some gets wasted, but you will urinate any excess out, as you would with excess protein. If you take the 5g daily does of creatine your body will utilize the necessary 3g amount to be effective. I do think eventually there will be a superior form of creatine with better absorption, but for now, I will stick to mono. It's just so cheap man, today I bought a 60 day serving for $5! But thanks for looking out man, I do appreciate it :)

No problem man. Yeah, I'm gonna stick to Creatine Esther just cause it's the most healthy part of Creatine...we all have our different ways. :)

I can't wait to get back to working out tomorrow though. Ugh...I was supposed to today, but ended up having to do so many errands, it was unbelievable.

I don't really have a routine, but this time of year I make sure I have plenty of body building work to do around the house. :D

Alright, time to kick into gear! Summer's winding down, and sometimes that means YOU WILL TOO! Don't let it happen! Any changes in routine, diet anyone??

I actually gave up soda, quit smoking and started walking.

Congrats man! That's awesome to hear! One thing I'd like to suggest is a multivitamin...take one every morning with your breakfast (or lunch if in afternoon)...and drink a pretty good amount of water with it. You can find some great ones for under $20. Multivitamins are very helpful in keeping your body healthy.

Here's a great one if you're looking...

I can find others for you if you'd like! Just let me know if there's anything I can do to help you become a healthier individual.

For serious?? I gave up cig's, but I don't think I could ever fully give up soda haha. But really, that is great to hear dude. I tell you the walking can get kind of addicting! It feels good to just walk. Something you should do which is cool is to make a list of how much money you save every month by not smoking, and then treat yourself to something nice at the end of every month with some of the saved money. It feels good man :D

I will be saving 48+ dollars a month. Saving that money.

Dang I don't know how you do it! I literally couldn't function with less than 6. Is it a matter of not being able to get good sleep, or just having a bad schedule? If it's the first one there is very safe and harmless pills that will help with that.

I just never sleep. Insomnia most likely.

Well, I guess you can try some Melatonin. The stuff really does work. It'll knock you out, but you won't feel like dookie in the morning.

Yeah man, have you tried some sleep aids? It's hard for me to get more than 5-6 hours a night...though the recommended is 8 I believe.

I got one word for you guys...
