Stupid labels!!

"Do not use lit match to check fuel level."

"Remove child before folding."

It still amazes me that people in this country will sue anyone when they get hurt. Once, while growing up, I had a buddy crash his bike at my house. He went to the ER. And a week later my parents got a notice in the mail on what to do if he decided to sue.

Personally, if I were an owner of a company that manfactures, say, washing machines, I'd file a countersuit on the grounds that the parents were too neglegent to pay attention to their kids. In other words, they were too stupid to notice that their equally stupid kids were playing in a washing machine. And that they shouldn't be allowed to pass on their stupidity in the genetic cycle known as breeding.

Now, has anyone else ever seen some absolutely stupid warning labels that defy common sense??

At work, we have warning labels that say "Children may drown" in five gallon buckets. First of, a toddler would make the thing fall over if they tried to climb in one. Imagine the scenario that led to that label.

Also, "Do not rock this machine. It may fall over." Good ol' Pepsi machine.

Oh, our stupid, stupid world...
 
Ya, I have seen lots of stupid labels like that. I kind of like reading the retarrded sopunding labels. They make me feel happy for some reason. I can not think of any in particular that came to mind, though.
 
One that comes to mind off the top of my head is "Caution: wearing this suit does not make you fly" or something like that :lol on a Superman costume.

Actually there have been children who have drowned in a bucket. You would think that they would fall over, but there are times when they don't.

The labels state that this would happen with four inches of water. It just doesn't seem to make sense that a kid would drown in four inches of water in a five gallon bucket.

I don't remember the circumstances on how children have drowned but yeah four inches isn't that much.
