With ratings, a 10/10 really doesn't mean perfect, nor does four stars for a movie. Just an all around amazing experience really.

Maybe in other things, but in ratings 100% means well rounded. GI said so about their Bioshock review, maybe a few places have about their Halo 3 scores.

When I see 80% I see a well rounded game.
When I see 90% I see an amazing game.
When I see 100% I expect to see the best game ever.

i usually don't care of the score but of the review itself. what is good or what is bad. and i don't think mario galaxy has many issues if it got 38/40 still i need to read the review to know what are the bad things (the goods are a given)
 
Guys, I got to play this game today! (Most GameStops have the full version set up in their Wii kiosks.)

I was really impressed! I started in the middle of what seemed to be a boss fight (that's where the kid in front of me left off) and it was so much fun! The controls are very natural.

I can't wait for this game. Playing only a little bit of it was such a tease. :lol

I'm really glad Nintendo took a page from Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank series using the spherical worlds and such. :)
 
Nintendo has had some awesome spherical stuff before, too. Do you remember in Yoshi's Island that one boss fight where you were on a ball and there was a huge crow on it and you had to booty-stomp these pegs and they would pop up under the crow? That was an awesome boss battle.
 
Oh yeah. I remember that. It was just kinda cool though how Muyamato thanked Insomniac for the inspiration. I thought that was pretty cool. I really can't wait for this game.
 
Yeah, it was fun. I kind of wish I'd had time to play more of it.

I will probably buy this when it comes out. I think I'm going to have to get another sensor bar so I can hook my Wii up to a working tv, though. :-\
 
This game looks, to put it quite simply, incredible. Ratchet and Clank 2 did the planet jumping idea but obviously this won't be an imitation of that.

Along with other games (mostly Mario titles, granted) this one is making me seriously consider purchasing a Wii.
 
This is probably gonna be my first Wii game I buy... (yes I bought it over a month and a half ago and still haven't bought any games...)

i played this at gamestop last night, and its crazy awesome.

the water effects are better than halo 3s!
 
Actually, I wanna get MP3 and I wanna beat Zelda...

There's quite a few games that I want for it, I'm just really tight on money right now...
 
well i don't know about you guys but i have lot of wii games that i like, you just to try other titles and not just stick to the popular ones.

but seriously i was thinking of buying fire emblem before this but now it's gonna be the other way arround i played it at gamestop, and my opinion is that it would never get boring evne though i played it for just minutes. for me were just mere seconds.. .time is fast when you have fun XD

Yeah, that's why I plan to get Zack and Wiki as well.

Fire Emblem I've had paid off since July, so that's not a problem.

I just started working again so hopefully I'll be able to get all of the Wii games I want. It might take a few paychecks though since there's so many. :lol
 
Super Mario Galaxy, in case you haven't read my topic on it...Toys R Us might give out a $25 gift card with the purchase of it. :)

I have to try and balane my money between christmas gifts for others and personal enjoyments. I might just ask for some games for Christmas.
 
Yeah, that's true. I might have to ask for some of the games for Christmas. SSBB was going to be a Christmas present but now that it's pushed back I can ask for something else. Maybe I'll make Zack and Wiki and Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 my Christmas presents and just got Super Mario Galaxy for myself.
