This is not a game or anything, but it's the only spot where this would fit. It's a small story of what happened to me years ago.You Americans might get a kick out of this. When I was 17,I found myself stuck uptown with no way to get home.It was a long walk home in crummy weather and I didn't want to walk all the way home in the wind and rain.
I had no money,so I walked into a local coffee shop and used their phone.I called my friend Brent who lived only a few houses away from me.He told me to take a cab to his place and he would give me the money to pay the driver when I arrived,it was only a $5.00 fare, anyway, when I got there he opened the door and with a huge grin on his face, handed me an American $100 dollar bill.
At the time an American $1.00 Bill was worth about $1.27 in Canadian funds. The whole reason he did this was to put me on the spot by giving me an American $100 Bill, expecting the cab driver didn't have the funds to account for the exchange rate at the time, thereby making the situation even more awkward than it already was.I gave the driver the American Hundred with apologies for making the fare so complicated than it had to be.
To my surprise,he hauls out a huge money roll of Canadian currency and gives me back exactly $95.00 in Canadian funds, and drives away. The look on Brent's face was priceless! He never in a million years thought that the cab driver would be able to give back the change in Canadian funds with no recognition of the exchange rate whatsoever! :lol
That was so sweet to see!Talk about your all-time backfires! :lol
