what you need to know is: 1.tethe'alla and sylvarant were joined together to eliminate the process of the chosen and the trade of mana.
2. kratos is gone to derris karlan
3. yggdrasil is dead
4. they made a new giant mana tree or whatever it's name was

that's all you need to know to understand what happens in the sequel
 
Okay we're debating on the release date here. Some have said Sept 15th or 16th. Other sources, such as 1up.com are claiming October 15th. Who knows...but it's best to say, FALL of 08 is a good idea lol

Hm. The bald guy...I wonder if he is a villain.

Saw a lot of ToS characters in those shots. Zelos, Lloyd, Regal, and Sheena. I don't like what Regal is wearing, though. It's like a man bra! :lol Did he wear that in ToS?

I'm still curious about the battle system and how the monsters are going to work, though.
 
in the japanese world bald = evil XD.

the monsters are captured by changing the element of the battlefield to the same element of the monster, to do this you gotta do 3 attacks of the same element in a row, then beat the monster and then he will join you, the battle system is a combination of Tales of symphonia and tales of the abyss

I would say it's proof more that Namco-Bandai loves hardcore gamers because Nintendo has very little to do with this, outside of providing the dev kit and giving them permission to put the game on the Wii.

I think IGN put up some new pictures earlier this week. I am probably super hyped for this game that I cant wait. It is going to be mad fun.
 
I guess it got pushed back? I see the release date is not until November now. :-\

After playing Vesperia, I'm pretty excited, though. I <3 Tales games! :D

Wow, I didn't even notice. This is mighty fast. Once I get my Wii (this weekend or the following), I'll have to get this for sure. :D
