Ok...decided to play it again today and I ended up beating the Water Seal. :D YES! I went with Zi's advice and used Colette. It worked!

yay!! just remember to train a bit more and to have a balanced team in a boss battle, also buy more orange gels than apple gels (so healers can heal more) and turn rain into T-type so she learns nurse (i think it was either T or S i should make some memory research XD)

That's a secret =P.

The one girl in the Anime Club looks like Rukia from Bleach and Collete from Tales when her hair is down. And she looks like Sheena when her hair is up.
 
I think Raine makes a better healer than Collette. I never really used Collette much unless it was required.

My usual party was Lloyd, Sheena, Raine, and Zelos.

mine is similar but instead of zelos i use either genis or in a hard battle i would use kratos (i cant stand zelos) however remember that in the seals you must use collete
 
I used Genis if I needed elemental attacks, which was usually also at the seals. So I think my party for that was Lloyd, Genis, Raine, and Collette. ^_^
 
There's one thing in particular that they did in Symphonia that I wish they would do in other Tales games, and that is the friendship system. You know how in Symphonia you had the skits, and depending on how you answered the questions, it affected Lloyd's relationship with the other characters, sometimes resulting in different endings? I really like that.

No, Tales of the Abyss ends the same every time as far as I know. What you are referring to, though?

I mean in Symphonia,
it still ends with Lloyd naming the tree, but who he goes on his Exphere hunt with can be different. I've gotten the ending with Sheena once.

no i'm just asking.. i still have not beaten tales of the abyss XD.... but yeah i know what you mean

in the snow city 3 characters will go to lloyds room, the one you talk with is the one you go on exphere hunt, right? but wait i forgot what happened if you don't talk to anyone

this is a little spolier but you need to know it if you want kratos back in your group

before the end of the game the characters stay at the snow city's inn (forgot the name) the 3 characters that are closest to lloyd will come one by one to his room and ask him to talk to them, but if you refuse all of their offers you get kratos back on your team
