Nineteen-year-old Codey R. Hawks has been arrested on rape and sexual imposition charges in Parma, Ohio, accused of raping a 12-year-old boy. The two are reported to have met through Xbox Live.

NewsNet5 of Cleveland is reporting that Hawks "repeatedly raped" the underage victim after traveling from Michigan to Ohio. Parma police said that Hawks was staying with the boy's family, having arrived on January 15th. He was arrested yesterday.

I thought we made it perfectly clear well in advance of this disgusting incident that this is not what Xbox Live was for.

Not only did he meet this boy through X-box Live, but the kid's parents ALLOWED HIM TO STAY THERE! What logic is that?

"Oh hi ms. L33tK1illAr, I met your 12 year old son on X-box Live. I'm 19 by the way. Can I crash here for a week or two?"

and that is why nintendo puts all those annoying friend codes... sure the parental block thing should be enough but i guess after something like this i am not so sure
 
I just got a little sick reading this. The things people do these days are beyond me. Not just the teen but also the guardians or parents of the boy's household...
 
dear god....what is wrong with people i don't know which is worse. The 12 yr old for meeting the 19 yr old in the first place, by 12 you would think he would have a bit more commen sence or the fact that the kids perants let him stay over even tho they didnt know him, they can't be very good perants for not keeping an eye on him in the first place

Neither do I man,as appalling as it is,it's been going on since Hector was a pup.

Every night I pray before going to sleep.I've asked God before why this malevolent behavior occurs,He hasn't answered me yet.The best reason I can think of,is every human being has good and evil inside them.

Evil can be the prettiest or ugliest thing in the world.Sadly,you can't have one without the other.

I feel really sorry for that 12 year old boy. That's gonna be something he'll have to live with for the rest of his life. Very, very sad.

You would be suprised on how many under aged poeple do that. I think theres like over a thousand doing that in myspace.
 
I'm going to just state this:

I have a feeling that little comment will be deleted, but that is just how I feel about this, and I ain't afraid to admit it.
