@the anti-wow people

Well, a lot of people would consider almost all games as not productive.
I usually see the benefits if I look.

But yes indeed, the stereotyping of people who play WoW, kind of doesn't even follow up on it at all anymore.
It used to be if you were playing WoW, and a good amount, that's when you'd get the "never seen sun" stamp.
But so many people play now, it's almost harder to find someone who hasen't.

Personally I don't play WoW anymore, mainly because other genres of game interest me more.
I didn't stop because I suddenly realized I was losing at life or that I hated the game,
but I just didn't play it enough at the time. I'm sure I'll be playing it again in the future.

I'm not sure which thread I saw it on, where almost everyone was also saying they don't like the subscription for every month.
I didn't really get that, almost all online computer games have a subscription. But eh.

Guess that's all, this is more of a ranty post instead of logical.. I realize I was going to give the benefits of WoW.
Well, simple version: It teaches you the way of life, my friend.

If someone plays Wow, I won't judge, but I won't ever play it because A) I don't wanna pay 15 bucks a month and B) I just really don't find it all that interesting. I'll play Guild Wars if I want an MMO (and I really don't right now) because there's no monthly fee. I guess people can do whatever they want though.

I'll stick with my Pokemon games. To be honest, the Pokemon games are phenomenal compared to WoW.

Pokemon hass made a lot of great games so saying Pokemon games are better than WoW isn't really putting it down, considering how good the Pokemon series is.

Yeah, it is a great series. All my friends at school think I'm a loser for getting Diamond, but they're missing out.

I probably won't get diamond just because it'll be the same as every other pokemon game ever made, plus everyone will think I'm a loser if I do get it, vut me main reason is that it won't change much from all the other games in the series.

Me and my girlfriend got Leaf green and Fire red. Sadly, the DS's wireless interface isn't compatible with the GBA version, so we can't do any trading.

Good remake of the original though.

I think playing WoW was worth it.
I had a fun time when I was playing and despite my dropping grades I still have really fond memories of it.

And in the end, I made 400 dollars which isn't too shabby.
It's an addiction if you make it that way. I know plenty of people that can balance it out with school and "real life". Just don't make too many obligations in-game such as joining a raid guild and it's really not that big of a deal.

Despite all the flames, I still think WoW is a great mmo and one of the best I've played. That's just me.

Good point. I just can't see sitting at the computer, playing a single game for half a year as something productive, but I guess to some people it wouldn't be a waste of time.

You are posting...to a video game forum...saying playing a "single video game" for that amount of time is wasteful...

so playing multiple video games for the same amount of times and then discussing them on the web isn't?

It's the same thing.
