The Best XBox Game Ever Made

Alrighty, thanks alot. I have my dreamcast still so I'll jus borrow the game from my friend (yes, we still play the dreamcast on an everyday basis :lol), then move on to the second.
 
:lol I had a friend who bought a DC and Shenmue off of EBay cuz he heard it was like the greatest game ever, and he hated it. He basically said "It's a fun game if you enjoy bad 2d fighting, shoddy dialogue, and hanging around ports talking to sailors all day."

But hey, I've never played it so I can't say my friend was right in his assessment. It was enough to keep me from playing the game though. :lol

He must of got that from some review. A lot of reviews Ive heard talk about it like that. The fighting is great, especially when you finally get all the moves. You only talk to sailors for about a few minutes of the game. Some of the voice acting was rough and had funny dialogue that made you scratch your head. But overall it didnt detract from my experience. This game is not for everyone.
 
Shemnue is a great game. Sounds like the review is what sucks.

Now for the Xbox, is there a liot of good games for it?? I don't want to buy one and realize that halo is it. Because I'm not interested in that agme at all.

There is a thread like that but I'll just say right here that it is worth it Dart. You get so many uber racing games on Xbox, more than a handful of awesome action games and enough FPS's to keep you happy for a year. RPG's? Nope, none, nadda. Ok, well there is like 5 I think but none of them are like FF, or other turn based Japanese style ones. The ones for it are all good though fortuneatly, Kotor 1, 2, Fable, MW, Jade Empire and some more me thinks. Just do it, you will not regret it.

Haha, no, he played the game the whole way through. He figured since he bought it he may as well get his money's worth. It just wasn't what he expected or liked I guess.

The funny thing is all those games except Jade Empire are available for PC, and IMO, SW:KOTOR is better on the PC than the Xbox.
 
Ya, and after playing PC FPS games like Counterstrike it's hard to go back to console FPS games.

That being said, I'm not a big fan of installing PC games and downloading drivers and all that stuff, so I would rather play all those RPG's you mentioned on the Xbox instead of the PC.
 
Bigmac...Dude..I listed 5 games...If I had listed 100 games and 90 of them were also on pc your reply would actually have relevance. I mean no offence to you but I truly do not see any relevance to the question asked with your reply. I just get tired of that whole "Xbox is just a mini pc" stuff. People need to understand that alot of us choose console over PC, it's just our preferance and nobody can change that. I happen to like my couch, my tv, my big 5.1 setup, my xbox controllers, and just the overall ease of use :D

90/100 Xbox games could easily be on the PC also.... w/e you like to do, not like I said Xbox was bad, I just like PC better
 
Sorry for blowing up on you Bigmac. I had some pent up anger that day and I guess it came out on you lol, no hard feelings. I also have the tendancy sometimes to just run my mouth without hearing other peoples side of the story, but I'm working on that :) Sorry again man, I mean no harm.

I understand you like PC better but anybody can port a game to either another game console or a PC. So I don't see why you use that argument.
 
Well, let me explain the arguement as best I understand it.

Dart asked if there was a lot of good games for the Xbox other than Halo that made it worth buying.

X2 said that there was and listed off five games, four of which are also available on PC.

Bigmac pointed this out to say that if Dart was going to buy an Xbox for those games, he might be better off just buying those games for his PC. Especially because, in Bigmac's opinion, SW:KOTOR is better on PC.

Bigmac did make a valid arguement and point. There's no sense in buying an Xbox for those games if you would be just as open to playing them on PC. That's why he used that arguement, it does make sense, at least to me.

I'd have to say Halo. Not only because it's awesome and fun to play but also because it's an exclusive Xbox title.

It was valid, and I was explaining that to Creepin, who did not think of it as "old news," capice? Although I do see a part of my earlier post that needs to be modified. For some reason I wrote "To which X2" and then nothing. I shall now delete that.
