Just curious since the PS3 and Wii launch are so close. Personally....I think it's gonna be between the 360 and the Wii because the PS3's just so darn expensive. We'll see how they do.

I tried the Wii and I thought it was pretty lame. Just my opinion though. PS3 has a chance due to the fact PS2 did so well. Only downside is that yes, it is expensive. If there are good games on the PS3, im sure people will buy it though. Personally I think Motorstorm looks really fun.

I havent played the Wii nor do I know a whole lot about it.........but from what I have heard, it sounds like the Wii will be the most popular.

I say it'll be a toss up between the 360 and the Wii. PS3 is just too darn expensive and to me it's not worth it.
I think the PS3 has alot going against it, for one Nintendo and Microsoft have learned the value of third party develpers and are incorporating them into their own systems which was part of Sony's success; the control of third party developers, futhermore, that darn price tag come on $600 dollars, and inflation may make it rise even higher during the christmas holiday, and lastly going with blue-ray is a strech, both Microsoft and Nintendo are supporting HD-DVD so it's 2 v 1 as far as that goes
but I digress
I voted for the 360 because even though I think the Wii is GREAT, alot of gamers mightl flock to mircosoft's "blood, gore, and guts" type of games like gears of war and halo 3
Maybe games like Twilight Princess will win it for the Wii, who knows, the future is not set in stone

As much as I would like to say Wii, there's still a lot of Sony fans out there buying the PS3 on name alone and conversely, ignoring the Wii on name alone.
On the MS side, have you seen the Legendary Edition of Halo 3? That Master Chief helmet is going to sell some 360s come November 07. At my store we've already got 24 reservations and the game is a year away.
I shudder to think how many we will get before the reservations are shut off.
I do lean towards Wii though. Everyone who comes into the store and tries it is is always like, "Wow, that's so cool!" It's true that playing is believing. IMO the more people that play Wii, the more popular it will get.

I voted for the 360, but that is at best an educated guess, and at worst a stab in the dark. Either way, luck will be the deciding factor on whether I'm right or not.
For myself, I don't understand how anyone could choose a PS3 over the 360. I understand the PS3 may have more exclusives, but for the most part anything you can find on the PS3 you can find on the 360, and the difference in graphics won't be worth $200. So for sheer dollar value alone the 360 seems to be the obvious choice for me.
The Wii is just too much of a wildcard to really say anything for sure. It might catch on, but I think Mai was right when she said it was an "and" system, as in, people will buy a PS3 or a 360 and maybe a Wii. The problem is I don't think there will be too many gamers that settle for the Wii only. The tried and true control setup for videogames will, in my estimation, endure one more generation at least. Even if the Wii is "revolutionary," I don't think it will really catch on this gen.
While I have worked out which consoles I am willing to buy with logic, I understand fully that said logic plays but a small role in a gamer's decision to advocate one console over another. So while I would expect my reasoning to reign supreme I also fully expect to be surprised. If that makes any sense...

I voted xbox 360. I've come to the conclusion the Wii doesn't really have any games I want that I couldn't get on another system. Also, there's a playable version at my work and it isn't anywhere near what I thought it'd be. I don't know how PS3 is gonna shape up either, so I've gotta give my vote to the 360.
I think a lot of you guys are forgetting the worldwide aspect of this and how brand loyal the Japanese are to Sony. That could change the dynamic for early PS3 success.
