Of course they do. It still has made the human race more efficient. It's a major way to deliver mail to other countries, and of course travel. We use it to fight in wars and dust crops. Our whole point is that technology advances to make us more efficient and comfortable.

And no, nobody has to swim across the Atlantic. They can just take a boat.

Nope, they can take a boat. But taking a plane saves them time, just like using a remote control or dishwasher does. In todays world, people just don't have an hour+ to burn on doing dishes everyday, or taking boats and trains on business trips, etc,. It's all about saving time, time, time...
 
The only reason services such as planes,trains,and boats are considered efficient because it sounds better than saying these services are the easiest ways to do things.
Trying to do things the easy way,is a result of laziness.

Riiiiiiight. So now the reason that somebody would rather travel by plane over traveling by boat is laziness? :lol That makes no sense considering traveling by plane is no more work than traveling by boat or train. It's all about saving time and that's all there is to it.

i think the internet is a useful tool. it can't really be good er evil, since all it is depends on who uses it er how they use it.
