Okay, so we all know how incredibly difficult this song is in Guitar Hero 3. I've been trying to pass it for awhile. I can pass every other song on Expert. But not this one. I posted this originally at ScoreHero, but I'm posting it here as well because I know that quite a few Guitar Hero players come here.
Okay, so here's my troubles.
1. Where to tap. I know the beginning is tappable; it's how I pass it every time. I can FC intro tapping... okay, that's not a problem. But watching other videos makes me wonder if there are other times tapping is useful. For instance, when watching iamchris4life's TtFaF 818k video on YouTube, there are points where the button mashing is audible and precise, indicating that he is tapping. At least, that's just what it seems like. Are there other points where I can tap through? What points are generally tappable?
The points I normally have trouble at, using the chart, are below. I'm not talking about the typical parts that people can't combo at all (you know what I'm referring to, the two parts in the first solo and the red snake). Just the parts I see people do just fine, yet give me bigtime trouble.

61-62 (I just can't get this. I hit the yellow-red part fine, but every time that green comes I lose my combo. Is this possible to tap?)
65-66 (same as above, but tack on the "buildup" sound. Another thing I see people commonly FC, yet I have to fumble my way through.)
179 (How the heck do people consistently nail this?)
202-203 (I get the fact that it's still 200bpm during this part. I just lose my combo every single time. This seems like another tappable sequence, but I'm not entirely sure.)
245 (If I can survive this part, I'm gold for Herman's Solo. I realize it's the pacman sound, but how is this done typically? Through sliding? That was a thought of mine, but I just couldn't figure it out.)
The second issue I'm having is with Synth Death. The way I primarily get by this is by sliding with my index finger, but it's usually hit-or-miss and this is the point where I either am fine or must cry and start over. Do people tap through this?
Finally, the whole 170 bpm after-Synth-Death period. I realize this is just my fault, but I can't get the strumming down for this sequence. There's really no way to get help for this one other than just practicing, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has (or has had) trouble with it.
If you have any suggestions, thanks a billion.
