The most awsomest game you've ever played

You can simply say "go through time" as though it were no big deal, but the reasons for Link to go back and forth through time, in other words, the character's motivation to do so, are much more complicated.
The first time he went back was so he could fit in a hole in a wall. EPIC.

I don't think I could ever pick a favorite off all my games but I would have to say that the original UT is probably close to the top.

Now my favorite game is Heavenly Sword! That game is AWESOME!

The other members and maybe you might think I'm insane, but I think "Dragon Warrior III" for the "NES".I'm not a graphics junkie like my brother, although they're certainly a consideration.I'd rather have an awesome game with ok graphics than one with awesome graphics that sucks.Call me crazy.

Peace be with you,

Link didn't want to fit in that hole just to fit in that hole. Link also needed to swing swords, ride horses, and talk to townsfolk, because those are the actions he needed to perform in order to complete a task that continued the story.

He couldn't ride Epona as a child, so going back in time would not be to ride horses.

No, I don't mean... alright, I don't know how I can make myself clear without you being able to see my hand motions and actually hear what I'm saying, but I'll try.

The actions Link did in the game had motivations behind them that gave Link reasons for doing said actions.

The motivations are drawn from the story, the actions have nothing to do with it.

The reasons why Link has to perform these actions are the story. The sequence of actions he performs is not.

This is for all intensive purposes mind you. The actions Link performs in the game are part of the story obviously, but they are not themselves reasons for doing them. Ex. I don't get up and walk to the fridge because I pour myself a glass of water. That wouldn't make any sense. I get up, walk to the fridge, and pour a glass of water because I'm thirsty. The actions I perform are a result of my motivation for doing so, just as Link travelling through time has a motivation for him doing so that extend beyond simply doing things just to do them.

Well, yeah, but if there wasn't that hole in the wall, he wouldn't have gone back. He might have gone back to continue his quest, but he still went back to fit in a hole.

but wasn't easier to just put a bomb in the wall XD i think miyamoto just wanted to make an excuse to go back in time

In the literal sense of the word "awesome," as in "inducing a state of awe," I'd have to say Super Mario 64. That was the first jaw dropping experience that made me feel like gaming had entered a whole new era. I don't think we'll see another leap like that until virtual reality becomes practical.
