UPDATE: Though, the original source of the story was an email sent out by trusted U.K. retailer GAME, both Microsoft and Lionhead have indicated that the e-mail was, in fact, incorrect. As it turns out, this second batch of supposedly removed content was never intended to be on the bonus disc in the first place. A post on the official Fable II development blog offers this clarification on that content's availability:
"The Developer Diaries and Soundtrack were never going to be a part of the bonus DVD, these can be downloaded for free. The diaries from Xbox LIVE marketplace (or here) and the soundtrack from here, and enter the "FableCollection" promotion code. This will be available beginning October 6, @ 9am PST."

It's here, I just got back. A lovely midnight release indeed it was!

Ah who am i kidding! i got this game 4 hours ago :lol

This is a MAJOR step up compared to the original classic by FAR!

As you can see, I have the Collector's Edition, which is rather lovely!

Some copies of the CE edition are missing the DLC Card that gives you the bonus goodies.

Oct 28th Microsoft will address the issue lol

I didn't get the LE, the bonuses were cool but not worth extra cash. However, the game does rock. Solid 8.5/10 so far, maybe better.

Yeah the extra dungeon for the LE was a nice touch, but yeah, this extra stuff could have waited BY far to be DLC for everyone else.

Yeah, I think it should become standard policy that LE exclusive DLC should pop up for a price after say, 2 weeks. For any game.

GOOD news, everybody! Lionhead Studios has revealed the first downloadable content pack for its dichotomous role-playing adventure, Fable 2. The "Knothole Island" pack introduces an island encased in snow, it's only hope for warm resolution resting on the shoulders of your swashbuckling hero. Or obese, mace-wielding woman.

The whole Knothole pack (detailed after the break) promises new quests, "wondrous" items and "bizarre" characters for a fee of 800 -- that's ten America bucks. If you don't have any of those to spare, you might want to look into the additional (and free!) DLC pack that promises "a show of gifts, including Knight's Boots, Assassins Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion, collectible silver book and more." You'll also need it to play co-op with anybody who downloaded the Knothole pack (though you won't be able to partake in the new quests without downloading it yourself).

Why is the gaming industry suddenly so anti-child killing? Fallout 3 had the exact same thing, where you could NEVER kill a child (so, of course, they make the children the most annoying characters in the game ), this coming from a series that was famous (or infamous) for just that. Game developers have two options here: let me kill children, or make WAY less annoying.
