8 Player co-op. :D the 2 player co-op in resistance 1 was effin great. But now 8 players. Geez what will they think of next

Resistance 1 was great, only game i really played a whole lot on the PS3 when it first came out and now with 2 having a 60 player multiplayer on some maps it is a must buy.

I don't know if anyone here knows this yet, but during the 60 player online matches, teams will be broken up into squads of 4-man or 5-man teams, and square off against another team. If a team is having a particularly hard time against another one, a backup squad will be sent to their location (the orders will be given...bonus points will be awarded for attacking a designated team).

Well we are slowly getting to the point now where we will be able to have a real war online some day, 100k people vs 100k people on Live or PSN LOL

I've gotta say that this is somewhat disappointing. I was expecting 30 vs. 30, not 5 vs. 5.

5 vs 5 is only an objective..as you obtain more points for taking out players in that objective. You can do as you please and make it 30 vs 30 if you want...also...some levels will be solely for 30 vs 30.

Well I may be possibly late to the scene but being that R2 is right around the corner, would it be wise to get the old Resistance: Fall of Man for the new 29.99 price, I never played it but being that it is giving a sequel it must be good I am guessing. IT would be my first FPS so I am a bit scared to try it out if the controls are too complicated.

Resistance is just a average FPS game but it is really fun once you get into it a little. It was my first PS3 game and I'm happy that I got it actually. I knew that it was a good game and it was the first FPS to come to the PS3 so I just looked at it as a stepping stone. I knew that if they could make a good shooter game right out of the gate that in the future the PS3 console would have amazing FPS games.

It actually has a good story if you get into it. And the controls aren't that bad either.

Alrighty that sounds good then, im not really into Multiplayer gaming, but I guess I will look into it, I may even, if I like it definitely get R2

Go on, prove that you're still worthy, apply for the Resistance 2 Public Beta. You can drop your answers here (remember, there's always a right answer, even if it doesn't count). Here's what Insomniac has to say:
