I finished this yesterday after finishing the 1st Resistance all i gotta say is BEST...FPS...EVER
the story really intrigued me and I'm the kind of person to normally not really care about story at all.
The Resistance games have so much potential to be so much more if only Hollywood wouldn't screw with every game to movie Resistance would be such an awesome film.
As i was going through the game though i was thinking the hole way through how the hell could any one say these are bad graphics if you play it in HD the graphics are beautiful and when you see how big the landscapes are in some bits and how much goes on the graphics are beautiful.

Honestly... how good is this game? I've really been looking to pick it up! I won't be able to till Christmas time... or after when I have a little cash. But if you had limited funds and couldn't buy a lot, would you spend your resources on Resistance 2... or another game?

In my opinion it's a really fun and pretty game and the story is awesome so i think you should buy it but it's up to you 8).

A new patch fixes the following:
In a post on the official PlayStation blog, Insomniac Community Manager Bryan Intihar detail the changes coming to Resistance 2 when patch 1.40 is deployed on January 26th.
Most importantly, patch 1.40 for Resistance 2 will see the return of levels to players who have had there level reset back to 1. Players who had the misfortune of being reset will not only gain back what they lost, but also keep all of the experience they've received since the reset occurred. Huzzah!
There's also some changes to trophies, including a fix for the bugged "Killing Machine" trophy that wasn't being rewarded to players who achieved 10,000 kills. They're also balancing the hell out of the game, adjusting Medic-class XP gain in co-op and (thank goodness) preventing parties from joining free-for-all deathmatch games.

Did the developer have to put lazers in there, because of Mobile Tactical High Energy Lasers being avaliable to US Army since 2005 (when the V-22 Osprey came out?)
That's very cool. I always wanted a rail gun in Resistence 2! Very cool game. It'd be good against bosses.

Resistance 2's first batch of DLC is coming soon, with details already spilling out of GDC. Insomniac has revealed the lineup in a video with Gamespot, which you can see after the break. The new content is split into two pieces: a patch (v1.50); and paid content from the PSN Store. Both will arrive on Thursday, March 26.
The patch will add a new multiplayer mode -- Meltdown -- as well as a new difficulty setting for co-op play. This will give higher EXP rewards, but will be much more challenging. Finally, the patch will also allow a local co-op player to sign in with his PSN profile, saving his accumulated scores.
As for the paid content, there are a number of maps being released which have been designed to allow more intimate, small scale battles. The Aftermath map pack will cost you $5.99. There are also a number of skins which will be purchasable for $0.99 each. For more details and footage of the maps, check the video after the break.

Isn't it about time someone spells Resistance correctly?
I wish the patch included a cheat menu for Godmode, infinite ammo, all guns. I remember N64 was like that. I wish you could install Action Replay as a program on the PS3! That would be how to cheat correctly.
