I know most of you are from America, so I guess to a lot of you another olympics means another hundred medals, same old same old kind of thing. I do take issue with that, but I don't really want to get into that now, I was just more curious as to whether you guys watched it or not, and if you did, what were your favorite events and such.
Personally, I'm not big on the summer olympics. I don't really care for swimming, or rowing, or track and field that much, though some of it can be entertaining. My favorite events to watch are basketball and boxing. Basketball kinda sucks this year cuz Canada's not in it so the only basketball I get to watch is when team U.S.A. plays on NBC, but I want to see the other countries play each other. Boxing is also great fun to watch, well, olympic boxing anyway, cuz in the olympics it's less entertainment and more skill. You really get a sense that it's a sport when two guys duke it out in the olympics, and it's a much more technical, strategical thing. Gymnastics can also be ok to watch, just because the men/women in it are probably the most in shape people in the world, but I never set aside time to watch it.
