The Real truth behind FF13 and FF 13 Versus

Square Enix has issued a statement saying the development of Final Fantasy Versus XIII is not on hold, both Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII are still on schedule. This contradicts a statement made by Tetsuya Nomura in Famitsu regarding to the development of Versus XIII has been stopped in favor of Final Fantasy XIII.

- Square Enix also issued a statement clarifying a rumor about a Final Fantasy XIII Pachinko game is in development, which was first reported in the rumor column in Weekly Famitsu. There is no such game planned.

This is confusing, the games developer said it was on hold but the company said it wasnt? Wouldnt the developer be the one to trust?

FF13 will have a December release for 2008 in Japan. It will come to NA and EU shortly after because of localization issues. FFXIII Versus will be out in Fall of 09'.

Here are some new images of Square Enix's PS3 RPG Final Fantasy Versus XIII, in the game people worships Shinigami [God of Death], and the character is designed by Amano. The car and costume designs seen in the trailers will probably be altered in the final game. A new female character is revealed, her name and background will be announced soon.

Here are some new images of Square Enix's PS3 RPG Final Fantasy XIII. The company revealed that the playable demo of FFXIII included in the upcoming Bluray video Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete will have a longer play length longer than the FFVIIAC movie.

Final Fantasy XIII will have a party battle system, in which each player controls one character as they switch turns. In the story each of the character will have a main storyline, such as each of them is more like the protagonists instead of just supporting characters. In addition, the last image in this page is a painting in the game, the huge beast is the Shinigami [God of Death] that is worshipped in the world.

Thats odd, they dont include any actual links to anything from this year in that paragraph at all apart from saying that it was revealed in 2008 but includes no link to anything that says 2008 on it I would have liked more info. Hopefully a future edit will include some link to a media site and not to articles from 2007.
