My problem with the TCM series is that it is not even remotely based upon real events, as it claims to be. It is inspired by true events.

Yeah I know. It's all about Ed Gein, who used a gun to kill his victims. The only thing that was the same was his infactuation with dressing himself up in the victims bodyparts. Especially female genitalia.

Knowledge finally came in handy. :lol

That was the key element of what made this movie so spooky to begin with, you lie to the public saying it was based on a TRUE STORY and watch them freak out lol Just by using parts of the real story....btw the real county of Travis is close by Austin Texas... ::D

Pyscho, TCM, and Silence of the Lambs "Buffalo Bill" all based on Eddie Gein

Eddie killed his mother, wife, daughters, and random women, his shack was filled with 8 bodies I think, hanging like a meat rack...making a body suit

Yeah, but he killed tons more than were found. He had lampshades made out of skin. He had a belt made out of nipples, and even bowls carved from human skulls.

yup, that is correct. What caused Eddie to go mental was his mother was very overbarring, sometimes his mother would dress him up in girl's clothes when he was a kid. Apparently she wanted a daughter, but never had one. (Which gave the idea for Pyscho)

Yeah, isn't it weird how it broke a mental barrier in Ed Gein's brain whiched caused him to worship his mom after her death? Apparently, everything in his house was a mess when the police investigated, except for the area on or around his mom's bed.

I personally don't like how every classic movie has to either have a prequel, a sequel or be remade these days. It's like there's no originality these days.

I thought alot of his, items, came from graverobbing.

That's one theory that police came up with. That might have been the case. I don't know if all of it was from grave robbing though.

I just noticed something, I've never seen any of the Texas Chainsaw movies at all. I've seen bits and pieces of the oringinal movie but dont really remember to much about it. I guess I gotta go and pick up this title later.

There's going to be one part where you keep rewinding it over and over and over again just to hear something. You're gonna laugh so hard. Me and my friends did. I don't wanna say what it is though. You'll figure it out. :lol

For some reason, all of the older horror films are funny! I guess 'cause everything just look fake, you can tell from a mile away.
