The Walk of Game is a first-of-its-kind landmark for video games! Next time you’re in San Francisco, get to the Sony Metreon to see your video game heroes represented. When they recently opened the voter floodgates to allow game developers and characters to lay claim to a precious star, Mario, Link, Sonic the HedgeHog, and Halo will be the first four to be introduced to this "Walk of Games"...including Miyamoto himself and Nolan Bushnell, considered the “Father of the Video Game Industry,” is best known as the creator of Pong, the Atari Corporation and Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza Time Theater.

Me either, I think it belongs to a certain whip carrying vampire slayer, and Master Chief better watch his back too..cuz when he least expects it *BOOM* holy water will be dashed all over him destroying his unholy Microsoft built body. And when the smoke clears our true iconic hero will be standing there, whip waving in the wind, to claim his rightful place among the stars.
 
hah, i was thinking the same thing. i wanted to see a belmont up there, but then i thought which one, simon, trevor, or richter

I think Simon would be the most iconic Belmont. Myself..I'd rather see Alucard instead of a Belmont anyways :lol

Creators: Yuji Naka, Yu Suzuki from Sega deserve that

I feel Halo was pre-mature to deserve an award this soon...so many games before it have done so much before it's time

Plus, they should have given an award to Mr. Gunpei Yokoi....the father of the Nintendo GameBoy...he deserved that more then anyone imho
 
Halo is kind of the defining game for this generation though. Mario, Link, and Sonic, are the forefathers (so to speak) of videogames, Masterchief represents where they're headed. The game has reached an iconic status in one generation, and for that I think it deserves to be recognized.
 
I dont know if it should be recognized just yet. I think there should be a certain amount of time before a game gets inducted. Kind of like the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Except the waiting period will be shorter.
