The Wii is smaller than I thought.

Yesterday I got to play the Wii at one of the GameStops nearby, and man, it was so cool!!!

The Wii system itself is smaller than I thought. Like, they said it's the sizeof 3 DVD cases, but it looks more like 2. I'd say it's about the size of the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Limited Edition case.

The controllers are also a little smaller than I expected. They only had the Wii Remote hooked up since the game in the Wii was a full version of Excite Truck, which doesn't require the Nunchuk.

I played Excite Truck and it's really fun. It doesn't take that long to get used to using the Wii Remote and although people have been worrying about it, it didn't tire me out at all.

The biggest surprise to me was actually the graphics. They looked really amazing. More than a Gamecube 1.5. I'd say it was actually on par with some 360 games, especially the trucks themselves, and in the water effects.

Anyway, now I'm even more excited for the Wii. :D

The deatails sound good. Almost as good as the 360. I'll need to check it out when I get the chance. Just got to wait for them to be available in Aussie. Though I heard that BV might be able to ship. But I don't know how much that would cost. Maybe too much for my budget.

I am not surprised at this.... The Gamecube had great graphics before and the best color palette of all systems (IMO).

To double the Gamecube (as Nintendo said it was basically the Gamecube x2)... would provide some outstanding graphics. To actually double graphical power takes a pretty big increase. BUT I don't know if the Wii is actually doule the Gamecube graphics or what the specs are... but I am sure it'll look good. Nintendo does a good job in this area IMO.

BV :hat
