Thinking about getting a new PSP

we dont know, but they are working very hard to try and make it the same type of experiencce of the console versions. its from the same dev as daxter. interviewers and playtesters say the game has the best graphics ever seen on a handheld :D

It comes out November, 2007. Best graphics means worst battery life, unfortunately.

Yes, that is true. And also, the sound is another battery sucker. If you keep the volume low or off it will last longer.

@Ares, I couldn't tell you about the firmware stuff, but in my experience more people use the PSP for emus than for what it's actually meant for, so you could probably google it and find out the answers to your questions. :)

So the new battery for the psp lite will be smaller but last around 5 hours.
If you use the battery from the original it will last 8-10 hours but not fit correctly...

i dont think i like this... lol

I don't think there are enough improvements in the slim to make it worth buying over the original.

I bought my PSP refurbished. It was cheaper that way, and still in awesome condition. I haven't had a problem with it yet. :)

Seriously, the PSP is pretty much killing itself. More than usual.

The PSP's actually really good right now. It has a ton of games, and I mean a ton. Also, in Game Informer, no DS game in the last year or so has received a rating of 9 or higher. Go with a PSP man. I have a DS Lite and it's not my cup of tea.

I honestly don't trust GameInformer, but I will admit that the DS hasn't been overloaded with good titles recently, of course neither has the PSP.

I personally would recommend picking both up, if you have the money, but if you have to choose one, the DS simply because it has a lot more games...

yeah, but there was a time where it was amazing. pokemon was the last thing i bought, and for some reason, im not playing. idk what happened, i sat it down one day and walked away. :P

But in what, two months, there's Zelda. And Drawn to Life in September?

Yeah that's how I feel, too.

The DS is more what handhelds are supposed to be anyways. Just pick up and play games. Don't need to spend hours playing it.

i agree, the ds has tons of great games like that, like meteos and mariokart. but its also good to sit down for hours and play a good handheld game, which the ds also has, like pokemon, or metroid prime hunters
