The entire ending...Yuna having to kill her aeons, Auron leaving, and of course Tidus disappearing.

Trauma Center: Second Option
There was a emo girl who wanted to just be left to die. But after a talk with Dr.Stiles, her life is in grave danger again and she wants to live. It was so touchng after you save her.

Resident Evil Code Veronica
Steve dying.

Resident Evil 2
When you thought Ada died.

Re: Top 3 saddest/most touching video game moments?

FFVIII:
The whole event of Rinoa going into a coma and Squall does whatever he can to bring her back.

Half Life 2 Episode 2:
When Eli Vance is killed at the end.

FFVII (even though I know its probably the most overrated one.):
No spoilers need for this one. Everyone knows the moment.

I loved that part, it was so cool how Dr. Stiles convinced her to keep living.

Seriously? I was so happy when that happened. I was happy to have him off my back.

As for the saddest moments I've come across? I can't think of any other than FFVII. I guess I'm just cold hearted. :lol

The only sad part I could think of...

When Auron went to the farplane (he deserved an FMV dangit), Yuna having to kill her aeons, and the Macalania Lake scene.

You really are coldhearted. :lol

Not to mention useless. Had she been a stronger character, there may have been more of a sense of loss.

I didn't care about how useful she was even though her final limit is amazing, it was the connection with the character.

But I did. I would have had more of a connection if she were useful and would want to have her in my party. But the fact that she was hardly used made me forget about her. So when it was her time to go there was nothing really to be missed. All it meant was that I had an open party slot to fill with a better character.

*joins the club* I have yet to cry/truly care about any in game characters.

Re: Top 3 saddest/most touching video game moments?

Can't think of 3 right now, but what happens to Nurse Lisa Garland in Silent Hill 1 dang near made me cry. I still get a little sad just thinking of that part, lol.

Re: Top 3 saddest/most touching video game moments?

You should really try Tales of Legendia. That had a lot of touching moments that made me cry. I only listed the main thing that made me cry, though. But man, that game is so amazing.

All you do is do [*spoiler]TEXT[/spoiler] without the asterisk.

Shadow of the Colossus
This game is full of heart wrenching moments, defeating a colossus makes you feel like a murderer, but watching your horse die was possibly the saddest a videogame has ever made me feel.

Majora's Mask
Reuniting the girl in the canyon with her father forever immortalized the song of healing. As well, watching the moon fall into Termina left you with a unique sense of hopelessness.
