Two more days!

I haven't played it, but I've heard it's excellent, and way different than the other resident evil games. Much more action oriented, better graphics...and the cut scenes even allow some interaction. This may be the first resident evil game I actually pick up

Its really good. The graphics are some of the best on any console but im sure you have heard all of that before. The targeting system is top notch. It still manuevers like the other RE's but it's not a problem cuz there arent any wierd camera angles to keep you from seeing stuff. Its a must buy.

Its great. I rented it, don't know if I'm gonna buy it yet though, I'll probably wait till its a greatest hits, or player's choice, whatever its called. The great part about the game is that it makes sense in real world terms. What I mean by that is your first instinct is usually correct. If you were actually in the situation the main character was in, what you would do in real life you can actually do in the game. Its fast paced, its action packed, it'll scare the bejesus out of you, and you will not be able to put the controller down.

The moment I knew I was going to like the game was one of the first cutscenes in the game. The main character sees a bunch of "enemies" coming to get him in a house. When I saw that I said "oh sh!t" the exact same time the main character did. It was beautiful.

Edit: Well, there was that, and there was also the first time I used the shotgun. That helped me like the game too. :lol

That about sums up why this game is great to me. Only other game to be able to do this was Half Life 2.

RE4 is a great action game, very brilliant AI and as others have said..very realistic in what you can do. My only complaint is that its no longer scary as it is now more of an action game than horror. I cannot honestly say that there was any time in the game that made me jump from being scared like the original RE did. Its still got an uber creepy vibe to it and all..just not really scary imo.

My other complaint is that it has the easiest final boss of any game I can recall..and its a tad short.

But still...wonderful game, best of the series, and I'd even say the best game on the GC period imho.

That's because this time around your character isn't completely helpless. Even so, there were at least a couple times in the game where I just didn't want to go on in the level.

*Spoiler*

The second time you go through the area with the barn (the first time its day and there's cows and chickens and a couple villagers are tending to them, but the second time its dark and raining and the villagers are just standing in the rain with torches) sure scared me.

*End of Spoiler*

I remember scoping out the area as slowly and quietly as I could. I had the volume on my speakers turned way up so I could hear anything coming towards me, and every single sound made me jump just a little bit. I was actually tense and nervous about what I had to do, even though I knew it was just a game, for a couple moments the gap between the game and reality was extremely small.

Nah thats not it for me man...there were no "jump scares" as people in the horror buisiness call them. No suspensful music edging you on until BOOM something jumped outta nowhere when it wasn't expected. Think of the first time you played RE and saw the dogs burst through the windows for the first time....or when you walked by the corpse of a zombie you had just killed only to have it grab your leg and bite you for the first time....thats what I meant.
