Re: 3DS Date (NA & Euro) confirmed and price? $249.99!

after reading that article as x2 predicted there are other articles out there that do believe the price of the 3DS is about right and that could work for nintendo....

have a look at that.

It's lazy. And, you have your opinion and I'll have mine.

I get that but so what? is not like the features that were promised for the 3DS are not going to be there, they are still going to work on them even after the 3DS is released, they did the exact same thing for the Wii. As long as I get the handheld and features that I was promised I am happy I don't care if its full capacity takes a while to shine... after all that sort of thing has already been happening to consoles (not just the wii). In fact mostly the reason why I am so excited for the 3DS is because it seems to be closing the gap between handhelds and consoles.... Besides is not like 3D is the only added feature for most of its games, is just another bonus.

Good job finding an article. But, like I said, It's an article used to state an opinion. Instead of arguing and constantly trying to get me to change my stance, try respecting my opinion.

And after reading that article, it kinda doesn't do anything to help your argument, sorry.

I am not trying to change your stance i am showing the bases for my opinion....you know like a debate

In my eyes it does help since it shows that although the handheld prices of nintendo have risen these past few years it is not in the realm of exaggeration, it is in fact on par with the PSP.

Re: 3DS Date (NA & Euro) confirmed and price? $249.99!

I thought about getting one at launch, but the titles aren't there yet for me. Once Resident Evil comes out though, it's on. That series will make me buy any system.

I might pick one up and then resell it for some profit, but I'm too lazy right now. :P

Out of all the titles announced I am most excited for RE!

3DS eShop & browser update day 1 of the launch.

One of the most baffling, disappointing news items from the recent 3DS event is the absence of the "eShop" online store at launch. According to a statement from Nintendo to Eurogamer, the 3DS eShop won't ship with 3DS systems on the launch day -- but the firmware will be "updated on day one" with the eShop functionality and a web browser.

Europe's launch date is March 25, two days before the system will be available in North America, so it stands to reason that if Europe's shop is ready, North America's will be too. Nonetheless, we've asked Nintendo of America for confirmation.

If this report is true, that would neatly solve the problems caused by a missing eShop -- any prospective user would have to connect to the internet if they wanted to download any games anyway, meaning anyone affected would be able to download the update right away.

Update: Nintendo of America's senior director of corporate communications, Charlie Scibetta, says "Games and services offered by Nintendo can vary by region. Nintendo of America will release additional information about Nintendo eShop, including timing, content and pricing, at a later date."

Re: 3DS Date (NA & Euro) confirmed and price? $249.99!

The original DS launched with a Ridge Racer game (I know because I owned it at one point) and look how that did. Just saying. A Ridge Racer game at launch doesn't mean anything except one more game you can choose to buy, or not buy, as your tastes my go.

Sure, some of the consoles are less than $250 now. But they weren't when they first came out and were new technology.

For a launch price on new tech like the 3DS, I don't think $249.99 is bad. People pay more for iPods.

Re: How long is the 3DS Battery Life?

That's a decent amount of time I suppose. But with the rate I play my handhelds, I'd be charging that thing every night.

By comparison, it makes the DSi's battery life look fantastic. Another reason it shouldn't be taken out of production just yet.

Re: How long is the 3DS Battery Life?

eh the PSP has about the same amount of battery life and I have to charge that constantly so I can deal with this.

Re: Now for the burning question, how much may the 3DS games cost?

$40-50 a pop.

Re: Now for the burning question, how much may the 3DS games cost?

More like, 3DS games are $40, with the occasional $50 {which seems odd}.

Re: Now for the burning question, how much may the 3DS games cost?

That's just like the current set-up, just more expensive.

Most DS games now are $30, with some Nintendo first party games and Square Enix games at $35, and there was one game I bought I think that was $40.
