US Airways tears a man's Xbox 360 apart! OUCH!

When the gentlemen asked, "Please explain" to the US Airway security, they told him "Tough luck" :(
 
"Tough Luck".You don't get much more unprofessional than that.I understand they have the right to do so,but would it have killed them to get a screw driver and take it apart like that as opposed to tearing it up?I once heard at the border of Canada and USA they have a right to strip your car down to search and not have to be responsible for putting it back together.Is this true?
 
Sounds like a really lousy thing to do to the guy- But hey, think of all the people he's told! They'll get loads of advertisement off him!

P.S. Thrav, just a heads up...there's no substituting letters and numbers to get around swear filters here. It can result in a ban or a warning at the least. I'd edit it out my man!
 
Well if you take it as carry on luggage, you have to take it out of any bag that it's in and have it run through the x-ray machine just like you would for a laptop. At least that's how most other airlines handle it. I've taken my 360 on flights so I'm familiar with the process. I've never had any problems with it. It sounds like the airport security wherever this guy was flying from were noobs or something.
