Valentine's Day is fast approaching

Meh...Valentines Day is a huge sham for stores to make money selling chocolate and balloons.

I agree. Besides, I'd do something more romantic than buying chocolates, flowers, and balloons.

That all seems too cliché.

I am in love, but I never know what to do this time of year. I'm not what you'd call a Valentine's expert. :P

Do something you know will make her smile. That's really all there is to it. As long as she has a good heart, she'll accept little things. My girlfriend would have loved a balloon..but I think the concert/basketball game will be a bit better..haha. She's never had a Valentine's day gift from any of her previous bf's, so I figure I'll go over the top for her first one. :)

I haven't decided yet what to do. It depends on whether I work or not. But at least it falls on a Thursday, so there's a better chance.

We haven't been out to one of our favorite restaurants lately, though, so if we don't go there on our anniversary, we might go there for V-day.

QFT.

In middle school, some of the kids in my class asked my English teacher what he was doing for his girlfriend on Valentines Day. His response was how silly the holiday was. Why do you need a special day of the year to show someone how special they are to you? You should do that every day.

There we go. I was just stating that most the people that don't like it are single. I was the same way when I was single. I thought it was a dumb holiday, but why not have a day where you can dedicate yourself to that special someone? You just don't get that luxury every day.

Yep.

I bet I'll change my mind if I get into a serious relationship. I've just never been seriously involved so it's always just been another day to me. Except when I was in grade school, then it was an excuse to eat candy. ;)
