Video Game Databases

I'm doing a research project that requires me to look at a large collection of information from video games, specifically: Title, year of release, game description, etc. So I need some video game databases that contain all that information and are easy enough to scrape data from. I'm using thegamesdb.net which is pretty good but I want to look at others too. Anybody have any that come to mind?

PS, anybody know if there's a site where I could access the scripts of video games as well?

Wikipedia is the only one that jumps out. Up to you if you'd like to use it.

Ya I took a look at ign and gamespot but it's not the easiest to scrape from those sites cause their html is a little convoluted but I'm looking at those ones

What's the project for? Sounds interesting.

You should probably check out (and even contact) Henry Lowood at Stanford University. I think he's sort of on the front lines of digital software preservation, so to speak.

You should try http://www.hypejar.com
It has a huge games database, especially for stuff that is releasing soon! ^^
