vista question

I had another queston like that but can you play vista on windows xp? :lol I feel very stupid as of now......>_<

Nope. Vista games don't work on XP, unfortunately.

Think of it this way.

Vista = Ps3
XP = PS2

PS2 games work on the PS3, but you can't play PS3 games on a PS2. It's kind of like that. :)

You can play XP games on Vista.

You actually can play some new games on both Vista and XP I believe. I think they're making games compatible with both, at least until Vista gets a slightly larger base...

@mai and cherry

bungie has confirmed a new software pack that will ship with all new copies of halo 2, allowing it to be used on xp. it might be out already, actually.

Dude, Epic should totally take lessons from Bungie, and make it so that the extra stuff in the PC version of Gears of War will on a 360. :lol

No, it just takes more effort on the users part since they bought a buggy OS.
The OS isn't buggy, the users are just incompetent. The only people who have problems with Vista are incapable of using the computer, or have one that's so ridiculously out of date that there's bound to be problems. Gamers, who typically have new hardware, haven't been having any problems with Vista.

Well, I have to agree with you there. You're probably the only other person on earth besides me who thinks this way. I personally enjoy Vista a lot more than XP. I also turned off uac and opened up my tcpip connections...which was a pain in the butt

I love Vista, far more than any other operating system I've yet used (which includes everything from Microsoft back until Windows 3.0 and really early versions of DOS, multiple versions of Mac OS, and more *nix distros than most of you guys have ever heard of). I'm not saying this just because I work for Microsoft, but because it truly is one of the best.
