Wendy's fast food chain, purchased by Arby's

Big deal. Stuff like this happens all the time. Take Carl's Junior and Hardees. Carl's Junior bought Hardees and Hardees still sucks. Not much changed except for the logo design.

I personally like Arby's. They're a bit on the expensive side for a fast food joint. But their food is actually pretty good.

Wendy's is okay. Not the best, and not the worst. McDiabetes is the worst by far, and in my opinion the best burger is a homemade one.

I'm not sure why everyone is upset... it will still be good and I bet it will be the same.

Dave Thomas had a restaurant here in town called the Hobby House before he went into Wendy's... etc.

He's done other restaurant types as well.

Long story short.. nothing in Wendy's is going to change (I bet)... unless Wendy's starts to die off... they will try new things to revive it.

Wendy's has some of the best burgers... better meat supposively.

Anyway... I like Arby's too... just to frickin expensive.

Wendy's did have some great magazine ads back in the 90s with "Want fiber? Eat a sweater" and "This is burger town, pretty boy."

Well I re-thought this. I adore Arby's Melts and Wendy's Double Cheeseburgers...so this could be a GOOD THING. However, the prices of Arby's is what bothers me. Yet if Arby's uses Wendy's genious 99 cent menu, they will have a sure fire winner. 99 cent arby's melt would rock my socks off.

Times are bad for everyone and combing two good fast food chains could be a good idea. Yet will the quality of the food remain or go down?

Once again, what's wrong with Arby's?

Our local Arby's sucks. I mean really, really sucks. Over-priced, re-heated garbage. I love their Onion Petals, but not fresh out of a microwave. Our Wendy's, on the other hand, is excellent, hence the boo-hooing. :'( :'( :'(

See, the Arbys by here is really good. The food is not like how you described at all. Now, my local Mcdonalds is really bad compared to other ones I have been to {not that I eat that crap anymore}. Wendy's is definitely really good quality, but their food just seems bland to my taste buds. Except their spicy chicken sandwich; that thing is full of flavor, plus, it's massive.....This thread is making me salivate now.... :D

Don't think I've ever been to a bad McDonald's, U.S. or abroad, it always tastes the same to me. I'm just mad at Arby's for discontinuing the BBQ Grilled Chicken sandwich years ago.

All of the Arby's in my area serve real yummy fresh food. I have only been to Wendy's twice in my life I think. ha.

If I want a burger, I would rather go to Culver's, Dairy Queen, or Burger King.

But when I go out to eat I mostly go to Arby's, Subway, Taco Bell, or Dairy Queen.

I can see how you would be real concerned over Wendy's food quality if your Arby's serves old stuff tho, lol.

All of the Mc Donalds I go to serve fresh food too, but I do not really like McDonalds all that much. It's ok tho.

Our local Dairy Queen actually lost their franchise rights last year for serving lousy food, so they simply changed their name and the names of all the menu items and now DQ is suing them for becoming a look-alike. Ha!

Of course White Castle pwns all others, especially the ones that still serve onion chips instead of rings.

Yeah downsouth, DQ serves a pretty good burger and a really awesome chicken basket dish, that has chicken fried steak fingers, fries, texas toast, with white gravy for dipping. it's awesome :)

There's people who actually go to... Dairy Queen... for the HOT food? >____>

Dairy Queen has awesome chili dogs. Or maybe it's Orange Julius? The two restaurants are combined in the mall, so I'm not sure which one makes the dogs.

I usually get the BBQ sandwich, but not locally for reasons mentioned above. Plus, they're often the only choice for charbroiled hamburgers in rural areas because Burger Kings don't franchise to small towns. Neither do KFC or White Castle, which is the only reason that Lee's Famous Recipe and Krystal exist for chicken and tiny burgers, respectively.

Oh, yeah, I love DQ's burgers. I really like that flamethrower burger they have. Only problem is that it gives me flamethrower heartburn, too. But it's so worth it :D
